No symptoms on Menopur 300iu Second day

Hi All, I do not have any symptoms while taking Menipur 300iu it is now the second day of injections and no feeling at all. Can someone advise what is going on the drugs don’t seem to be working?

I had the exact same dose and didn't notice symptoms til about 4 or 5 says into stimming. By egg collection day I was feeling uncomfortably full in the pelvis, like the most gassy you'll feel in your life from the size of your ovaries in there! I didn't have terribly strong side effects from it like some though and it stimulated me well, got slightly more oocytes than planned for.

@HB1982 yeah I had fyremadel from day 5 :) sounds like a similar protocol! Do you have a tentative collection date in?

Ah great! So mine is around 10th or 11th roughly they’ve said. Oh god I’ve just realised I took one injection yesterday at 8.30pm and the day before at 7.30pm! And you’re meant to do it regularly each day reading online? My clinic says between 7-9pm?!

@HB1982 my clinic said aim for exactly same time each day so the hormone is evenly administered but I doubt an hour out one time would make a huge difference!

I'm on the same protocol too and on day 3 of 150iu menapur injections. Due to start the Fyrmedel on Wednesday (day 5) and first scan on Monday to see how things are going 🤞. I haven't really had any significant feelings yet, just a bit tight around my middle when lifting etc and a bit gassy.

Everyone reacts differently so try not to read anything into it. I was on 300iu menopur for 8 days and then it was increased to 375iu for 3 days. I didn’t have any side effects whatsoever. I ended up with 20 eggs and 4 blasts.

Hiya I didn't have any symptoms when on menopur. My FSH is naturally high so after suppression the menopur was just bringing it back up lol. It's not unusual to not have any symptoms or side effects on the meds. X

I was on huge doses of stimulation drugs and couldn't say I noticed any 'symptoms' throughout. Try not to worry, as a pp said, everyone reacts differently and not noticing anything isn't unusual. Good luck with your cycle.

On day 2 of Menopur 300iu.

I had my baseline 2’days ago and they saw 2 follicles on my left and 3 on my right. I was told my AMH was on the low side.

Does anyone know if the number of follicles seen from baseline scans increased while taking menopur? The nurse who did my scan said she wasn’t too concerned to see only 2 follicles on each ovary.

@ralno2 hiya folicles can increase after stims but also some may not grow, it really is different each cycle.

In one of my cycles I had 1 lead folicle and 6 tiny by mid point of stims I had 1 lead and 2 small. By egg collection they collected 3 eggs, I got 1 embryo.

In my 2nd cycle I had about 10 folciles I was super excited, by mid point of stims had 1 super lead who was running away from the others, 4 small and 5 tiny, we had to trigger to catch the superstar. We collected 2 eggs, I got 1 embryo.

In my 3rd cycle I had 2 folicles all the way through, we got 2 eggs and 2 embryos.

We also had lots of cycles that started worh about 4 tint folicles but they didn't grow as I didn't respond to the meds.

Sometimes Mt hormones were just too strong to react to the meds. I learnt ALOT about my body over the last year of stims, so by tracking my different levels I could tell quite early if it was a good month or not.

It depends on what your levels are as to how you respond to menopur. Hope all goes well as they say...it only takes 1 😊

@HB1982 we have only just moved to the transfer phase as we were vatching embryos and had a target of 4 in the freezer which tookus a year to do.

I had my first transfer of my first cycle frozen embryo and currently 10 weeks pregnant xxx

@HB1982 I think so, I was on 300 menopur then fyremadel, and a double trigger :)it went well, was back in August 2022 and got 7 eggs which led to 7 blastocysts, one fresh transfer failed and the frozen transfer in late Oct stuck and I'm now 15+3 pregnant with a little boy :) x

Sorry 7 eggs to 6 blastocysts, one slowed down on day 5 and wasn't suitable for freezing :)

hello everyone, i am new here and starting my IVF journey. I am turning 43 next month with very low AMH. they gave me 450iu menopur and i've been taking them for 6 days now. my latest scan the nurse said that i am not responding well and im on a high dose alreay. i am waiting for the call from the doctor today to see what will happen next. 😢

I had no symptoms on high dose stims until the very end (maybe 2 days before egg collection) when my follicles grew big and it was uncomfortable to walk/stand up.

how many days did you take the menopur? did you manage to get through egg collection?

What do you mean by if I managed to get through egg collection?

I mean are you on short protocol too? how many are you prescribed to have menopur injections?

@ka3rine , yes short protocol. These injections lasted until 2 days before egg collection. Your doctor should give you a schedule and they will scan you every other day to see when to stop the meds (when the follicles have grown enough and are ready to be collected=around ovulation time).

As everyone's ovulation timeline differs and it sometimes varies from cycle to cycle, I think they prescribe meds for more days than you actually would need them (at least that was the case with me, I think I had 4 extra doses left).
