Hello, does anyone have any experience with this clinic?

I had my first (unsuccessful) round in November with BCRM. I'm having our second and final blastocyst transferred in January (as long as it survives thawing) but it's low grade so I'm expecting it not to work and planning next steps.

I like the look of the 3 cycle deal Create do for around 14k, including one embryo transfer. Has anyone does this? Any feedback on them, positive or negative? I've looked at their google reviews. Some glowing and some terrible!

Thank you.

Not at the Bristol clinic but I’ve done a 3 cycle package at Create Birmingham recently. The admin side was absolutely painful, and that’s mostly centralised. The phone lines were always busy, I got cut off mid-call several times and the people on the end of the phone could only help with a limited set of admin tasks (booking / cancelling appointments etc) and for everything else they could only take a message. There was a generic inbox we were encouraged to use but I found the response patchy at best. Our patient coordinator wasn’t the single point of contact we were led to believe but if you get a better one, your whole experience might be better. Clinically, they were fine during scans and procedures but the aftercare was hit and miss (fine after my first cycle, non-existent after my second). We also have male factor and they didn’t seem particularly interested in that so we wouldn’t use them again because of that but despite the other gripes about the admin, I think I would lean towards recommending them if the problem is just on the female side. Hope this helps, I know what you mean about the reviews being at different ends of the scale, we didn’t know what to make of them when we were researching! Good luck for your transfer, hopefully you won’t need to try a new clinic!

I also did a 3 cycle package with Create Birmingham (well more than that but the first few were single packages and wish I had just skipped straight to the multi cycle one)

I did all cycles within 18 months - the last one which was successful was as soon as the clinics opened after lockdown. Prior to covid the patient coordinator was really good - once you had signed up you didn't go through the call centre so just booked everything in person with the coordinator in the clinic, had a dedicated mobile number to call. Embryology were great - had lots of lengthy phone calls with the embryology team in person talking through the options etc. Aftercare was excellent and also (tried to) helped when I got pregnant naturally in between cycles to prevent a miscarriage (and the same with my friend incidentally so not a one off) when my NHS recurrent miscarriage clinic were useless and also almost saved my life when I had a ruptured ectopic and the hospital shrugged it off and refused to see me - it was Create that got me in, scanned me and called an ambulance

I believe post covid though things have changed a lot. The patient coordinator I had left and I think a lot more was being sent through the call centre. With the massive backlog of people wanting treatment due to lockdowns they were doing a lot more NHS patients and also for ABCs patients so a lot busier and I do think the personal care that I experienced has suffered a lot

Thank you both, that's really helpful. I think if my next transfer doesn't work I'll have a consultation with Create armed with a list of questions about their care!

After having looked at loads of clinics, I think they're mostly on a par and whether or not you have a great experience is a mixture of luck and which staff are assigned to you. (Unless you're willing/able to spend absolute megabucks.)

Thank you again 🙂

Hi, we've just had our egg collection at Create and hope to transfer over the weekend. Has anyone managed to get an embryo photo pre transfer when going through treatment at create. We'd love to get an embryo water colour done for our nursery, as and when we have a successful cycle.
