So worried - Not ovulating in cycle after failed FET?

My last cycle was a failed FET and now I’m on a natural cycle before trying again. It was my first FET.

Today is CD13 and usually I would have my LH peak by now, and EWCM.

Well, I have no EWCM and my LH test strips are reporting negative! The second line is barely there.

I’m really worried that the drugs taken to ‘switch off’ my ovaries during the FET have done lasting harm and they haven’t reactivated as they should have.

Has anyone else had this please? I am so worried.

I don't believe a FET could switch off your ovaries, not really sure how could be physiologically possible and I've never heard of it happening to anyone else.

Important to keep in mind that ovulation can have an inconsistent pattern even in the absence of fertility issues. I would suggest giving it some more days.

@Osmi Hello! I don't have any direct experience, as I'm doing my first FET at the moment. However, I know that my first proper cycle after my egg collection was much longer than usual and I was having similar worries to you.

My cycles are usually around 26 - 28 days, and that one lasted 42 days!! I was using ovulation sticks to begin with at the time suggested by an app, but in the end I just gave up for that cycle as I just got 'high fertility' for days, but no 'peak'!! However, af did eventually come.

I'm doing a Natural FET now so had to monitor my ovulation this month, and to be honest, that took 4 days longer than usual to reach my 'peak'.

If you're really concerned, it's best to contact your clinic to check with them, but it may just be your body settling back to normal after all the medication.

Thanks so much for your reassuring messages. Out of nowhere I got my peak today! I can’t tell you how revived I am. It’s about three days later than normal. Sadly unable to do anything about it as we are at my parents’ for the next few days!

Hi, not after an FET but after an unsuccessful cycle I skipped a whole month. 🙃 I took it as a sign my body wanted a month off and treated it with another month lol x
