So after 2 rounds, 4 failed transfers and 1 last funded round I'm trying to weigh up my options. The clinic I'm with hasn't changed anything through each cycle and they won't be on my next one. I'm going to have to do some research myself to see if there anything that they can change/offer/add. For context I have long protocol using Buserelin for down reg and menopur for stimulation. First round I got 12 follicles, 9 mature, 6 fertilised, 3 made it to do 5. Second round I got 10 follicles collected, 8 mature, 5 fertilised and only 1 made it to day 5. No positive tests so no implantation at any transfer. And the clinic still don't want to change anything, so does this mean there's nothing that will help with implantation!?

Would you change? Or just do some research?

Sorry to hear you've had a long journey! Clinics vary wildly, have yours scanned your lining to make sure it's optimum, and tested your progesterone levels before transfer?

@IVFGotThis05 hi, I think you should ask your clinic what other protocols they would consider based on your results so that you can review your options. If they then don't give you any alternatives to research you can say you want to try something different, and be direct can they offer an alternative suggestion. If they can't and you are not comfortable get a 2nd opinion with another clinic and if you are more comfortable with the new clinic then move.

I have been on mild stim for 1 year and after 7 started cycles 2 had progressed to egg collection which was my first 2 months oct/Nov last year 1 blast per cycle. After failed stim cycles from Jan to May we took a 2 month break and I asked my consultant to provide me with some options to change the protocol. They provided 2 alternatives but advised they couldn't say it would make any difference. We researched the protocols and opted for a more aggressive protocol, throughout they cycle they weren't happy with the slow development based on the fact meds were daily they expected to see a better result. They suggested cancelling and waiting for a better cycle at every scan, we chose to keep going as we were already going to pay a cancellation fee may as well take it as far as we could lol Even popped in for an extra scan and bloods as the appointments were tracking 1 day earlier than my usual protocol and I didn't want to miss a LH surge (prematur ovulation risk) on that extra visit my LH had surged and they suggested cancelling at thi point there were 2 folicles smaller than 18, I triggered the next day. We knew that once we went to egg collection full costs would be due and we were willing to take that risk. On egg collection day they did an additional scan in case of ovulation and/or no growth. Collection went ahead and both eggs were collected and made it to blast 😊

What we learnt is you have to be comfortable with your decisions, if it hadn't have gone well we knew we had at least tried something different as what we were doing before was not working.

If my clinic had refused to try somethjng new we would have moved.

Sending you lots of positivity, it's a tough enough process as it is xxx
