Looking for advice - considering IVF

hello

has anyone got an advice on how to start looking into IVF. Not sure where to start. I’m nearly 40 , based in Norfolk and TTC for a year without success.

I would suggest joining a few of the IVF threads. I believe there is also one of or 40+ individuals. This will help you gain access to individuals in similar positions and their insight.

@Norfolk1983 Hi, have you spoken to your GP yet? If not then I would do that first, they should do tests for both you & your partner. They should then refer you for fertility treatment - however there may be a wait for this. I am in a similar situation to you & similar age, was referred a few months ago and not heard yet. As I didn’t want to wait I have had a private consultation…. Unfortunately for someone our age the most the NHS would give (and some NHS trusts won’t do this) is one round of treatment so you might have to go private no matter what…. Hoping that helps a little

i contacted GP and they had me in for blood test today and partner has got to book a semen test so will see what happens. Our CCG only give one try so fingers crossed.
