Hi - just wondering if anyone has had success of getting pregnant via using mild ivf? In particular at a Create clinic in the UK? Thanks

Yes I had twins 😀

LF82 · 05/12/2022 07:42

@sneezingpandamum oh wow! 🥰 Do you mind me asking how long ago it was? I am just about to start treatment with them in January. Feeling a little lost/confused with it all

Hi @LF82 Yes I had IVF/ICSI with Create/ABC last year and baby is now 6 months old.

Another user created an ABC topic here in the fertility section where I answered a lot of questions. Feel free to ask anything if you need advice 👍🏻

Good luck 🙏🏻

Had our embryo transfer on Monday at the Bristol clinic, not sure if successful yet but I’ve found everyone really lovely and informative! We qualified for ‘abc ivf’ their partner clinic shall I say (exact same clinic but cheaper round!) which meant a round of mild ivf for under 3k so you may have luck with that? Overall the process has been super quick, sending you luck!

LF82 · 18/12/2022 10:30

@losohealy thanks so much! I have my fingers crossed for you that it’s successful. I don’t qualify for abc as am 40 but definitely think I am going to start my first round with Create next month. Sending you lots of luck!

I'm 35 weeks pregnant with a Create baby using ICSI. We were with St Paul's/Hertfordshire satellite clinic. Overall our experience with the clinic was very positive. Happy to answer any questions if you have any x

LF82 · 18/12/2022 21:02

@Sxd515 was it just icsi you had? We need icsi with ivf. Hoping to start in January. Still a little lost with it all but hoping for the best! Everyone at the clinic so far seems very nice. Not looking forward to having to take the meds etc but at least I guess it’s not as much as conventional ivf would entail….
so lovely that you have had a positive result, do you mind me asking how many rounds you had before you got pregnant? X

@LF82 yes we had IVF with ICSI. Have you had a call with the nurse before you start treatment yet? I found that informative and they followed up with a booklet that set everything out. In terms of medication, in my mind I thought that would be horrendous but apart from a wobble on day 3 of injections it really wasn't too bad or as bad as I had imagined.

We were extremely lucky that our first round worked for us. It was an emotional rollercoaster going through it with good days and bad days and constant worry but I found the Create team very supportive and happy to help.

Wishing you lots of luck and do feel free to ask anything else if you think of it!

Hi
we are with create too
Hoping to mild ivf start cycle soon.
we will be having icsi as well as there is male factor too.
Scared as hell.

LF82 · 18/12/2022 21:58

@Sxd515 so amazing you were successful on your first round! Do you mind me asking how old you are? I am 40 so worried that will be going against me in terms of success rate. My call with the nurse is in January then hopefully starting after that. We have gone for 3 rounds of egg collection & then hopefully implantation x

LF82 · 18/12/2022 21:59

@Hollyw128 completely understand how you are feeling! When are you starting? Is it your first attempt at ivf

Sxd515 · 18/12/2022 22:00

@LF82 I'm almost 36 but I have a low AMH for my age so I was worried about that for sure. There are definitely lots of positive stories of people being 40 or over and having success x

LF82 · 18/12/2022 22:16

@Sxd515 thank you x

Hi ladies. We are doing a 3 cycle package of mild ivf with icsi in Manchester. We did cycle 1 in November and have 3 embryos in the freezer. We plan to do cycle 2 mid January and as we had a better than expected outcome from cycle 1 we've asked to do our transfer after cycle 2. My question is how is the cycle with transfer different to without? And will they choose the best embryo from both cycles? Possibly using a frozen?

We haven't cancelled cycle 3 and pretty sure we will still use it if the transfer doesn't work (and then pay for subsequent transfers). I've already done 2 cycles so these 3 are the last. Congrats to those who have had success, always so lovely to hear positive stories ❤️

Hollyw128 · 19/12/2022 20:11

We had one ivf cycle abroad at the beginning of this year - it was success but i had miscarriage at 9 weeks. Then I failed FET.
now going for AMH ☹️☹️
I dont know why God chose me for infertility. Difficult to cope

LF82 · 19/12/2022 20:29

@Hollyw128 am so sorry for your loss…. It’s horribly hard isn’t it

@LF82
Yeah so scared.

loulou2021 · 20/12/2022 06:44

I started IVF with Create/ABC at the end of last year. It was our first cycle and we now have a 6 month old baby girl. We were really pleased with our treatment. I didn't have any side effects from the drugs and I was really impressed with the standard of care. Wishing you lots Of luck!

LF82 · 20/12/2022 07:53

@loulou2021 thats the kind of story that gives me hope! Thank you!

OP posts:
Hollyw128 · 20/12/2022 12:59

@loulou2021 If you don’t mind, can I ask what were your numbers like ? AMH /AFC and age ?

LF82 · 21/12/2022 14:13

Hi all- hope you are well, quick q for those of you who used Create did they test your AMH levels as part of your consultation tests before starting treatment? They haven’t tested mine and when I asked my patient co- ordinator she said it was not asked to be done by the consultant. I have had all my other tests x

OP posts:
loulou2021 · 21/12/2022 14:19

Hi @LF82 I had my AMH levels tested on the NHS about a year before I started treatment. ABC/Create did not retest.

LF82 · 21/12/2022 15:05

@loulou2021 thanks for replying! Not sure if my nhs tests included the AMH one… might need to ring my gp I guess x
