Forgotten estrogen patch - FET 2ww

Feel absolutely devastated and a total idiot but I forgot to put my estrogen patch on 36 hours ago. Which was 3 days after transfer.
I am taking tablets too but feel like I have completely messed this cycle up. I don't think I have ever felt so low. 😭 I feel like I have wasted this embryo.
Can anyone give me any hope? What does the estrogen do after a transfer?

Did you already have one on and forgot to change it? Have you put it on now?
The estrogen helps maintain your lining but not sure how much of an effect it would have. The progesterone also helps to maintain the lining and you are on tablets so it probably wouldn't be the end of the world I imagine.
If you already had a patch on and forgot to change it then there would probably still be medicine left in it anyway.

Call your clinic on Monday but try not to worry until then as it's out of your control.
I am constantly worried I have missed a dose or patch change as there is so much to do and remember and our brains are mush from the meds! Xx

Unfortunately I took it off had a shower and forgot to put a new one on. Not good.
Just feel like such an idiot.
I have put one on now, just fear it's too late. I wish I could test now but have another 5 days! Feels like such a long time.

You're so right about the brain mush, I swear I am getting everything wrong/forgetting everything at the moment. I feel like I am going from one self-inflicted disaster to another!

Yes I am 4dp5dt. I had to change my patches tonight and nearly forgot after my shower just now as well before reading this post again! So you are really not an idiot! My brain is just not functioning properly.

@AAMoMAA unfortunately it didn't. I doubt it had anything to do with forgetting the patch though so try not to worry. My clinic were very reassuring that it wouldn't have messed things up. I did everything right the next cycle and it didn't work either.
However I now have a 6 week old next to me so it all worked out in the end!
