Hi, 22Mama here.

On the infertility journey.
Background:
Surgery to check tubes, 3 failed medicated IUI's. 1 round of IVF - with TFF for all 19 eggs. So now we are starting ICSI.
Starting stims tomorrow on day 3. Nervous/anxious after first IVF round not having even 1 embryo come together, and hoping to hear some hopeful stories about ICSI, or chat with other ladies in similar boats!

Being on the forum really helped me during the IUI process so here is to helping my mental health while going through this whole process of ICSI.

I look forward to meeting you!

Hello everyone, I am new to this posting in forums but I am beginning my very first round of IVF in the next couple of months. I have endometriosis and have had the mirena coil in the last 4 years to help with my symptoms. I had both tubes removed in surgery so now myself and my husband are starting down the IVf long road. I have had my coil removed last week and will be back to the clinic in December for all bloods and start treatment. I am using a private clinic in Spain but I am so nervous and really feel a bit lost with all the medical procedures just wondered has anyone any advice or can tell me their stories!! Sorry for the long post, I have chosen not to tell family and friends just yet so don’t really have anyone to confide in other than my husband lol 😝 thanks

@Bookiebooboo - hey girl! Sounds like a hard journey already. I was also diagnosed with endometriosis, but very early start. My issue is with my eggs so hopefully ICSI will help that.

How are you doing? I'm in day 5 of ovaleap ane starting my cetrotide shots now. I'm hoping for a December miracle, that we at least have the eggs play nice enough to make some embryos! I'll hope for the next miracle after hearing if any of the eggs make it through. I've been doing so well with no headaches second time around, and as soon as I thought it out loud today I had like the worst headache ever! What a pain in the butt, or head I suppose. DH was a darling though and took care of me and made dinner and now after meds and a nap, I'm finally feeling better.

Anyways fill me in on how you are doing?

Hi ladies,
I am 34 yrs old and new to Mumsnet.
Can I please ask for any recommendations on IVF clinics that specialises in addressing fertilization issues.
I have 2 failed IVF cycle with NHS and have lower amh. First cycle three eggs were retrieved and none fertilized with the traditional IVF, Second cycle only one egg was retrieved and failed to fertilize with ICSI.
I am looking for a private IVF clinic that will investigate and address the fertilisation issue. Thanks x

Hey @Carry17 where are you looking? I'm located in Europe. I don't know so many clinics since I have only ever used the one nearest me

Hi @22Mama I am in UK but I don't mind travelling abroad. Where is your clinic located if you don't mind me asking? X

22Mama · 02/12/2022 20:50

Hi @Carry17 I'm in Germany. Although I like my clinic, I don't love it. It's close to my work so that makes that easier, but they aren't very like hands on and I feel often that I'm not getting as much info as so many girls on here are.
The bedside manner is very well...German lol

Since we will be going through ICSI now, if it doesn't work out this time we may be searching for another clinic as well to have a very good doctor/biologist to do the ICSI procedure.

Hope this helps

Hi @22Mama Thanks! I am planning to move clinic as my current one has one size fits all treatment. I am also looking at natural modified IVF as they focus on quality of eggs rather than quantity x

@Carry17 hi! Similar to you, I have low amh and I have also had two failed NHS cycles. First cycle 1 egg that did fertilise but didn't continue to grow normally. Second cycle no eggs.

We recently went to Manchester (we live north east Scotland so it was quite a bit to travel) to Create fertility who specialise in natural and mild IVF. I was on a much lower dose of stims (compared to NHS max dose 300ui of menopur, private I was on 150ui bemfola) and we got 4 eggs, 3 fertilised, one top grade day3 embryo was frozen and then the other two also made it to the freezer day5. We had such a better response to mild ivf and we also did icsi. Everyone is different but compared to my high dose stims, I couldn't have had a better outcome. All I wanted was one embryo (we are doing a 3 cycle package before a transfer) so to have 3 in the freezer is amazing. Create have lots of clinics all over England xxx

Hi @HJen22 thanks, that's great news for you! It really gives me hope now. I actually don't live far from Manchester so will check out Create Fertility XX
