Hi.

I've read about people subside they fall pregnant naturally after a HyCoSy, I wondered if anyone had any experiences of this they could share, or is it a bit of a myth?

My partner and I have been TTC for 2 years. Been messed around quite a lot and it's really taken a toll on us. We were offered IVF earlier in the year and then it was retracted as my AMH level had dropped.

I have two children from a previous relationship (12/16) and am 42 (soon to be 43) my partner is 34.

Thank you for reading and hopefully sharing x

I don't have an experience of success personally but my NHS fertility doctor did say that some people do find they fall pregnant after having this as it sort of "flushes out the system" so said to make sure we are trying after I have the test.

Wishing you all the best.

Sorry it didn't work for you but thank you for sharing what the doctor said as it backs up what I've read.

Hey!

Answering a bit late here but we had male factor infertility (low sperm count) and everything 'seemed' ok with me.
We tried for over 12 cycles naturally and nothing happened so we were referred to a fertility clinic to start IUI and then IVF if needed.
Prior to starting fertility treatment, I had a Hycosy in November and the nurse told me to 'do the deed' after because it flushed my tubes and there is data showing a higher chance of pregnancy during the 3 months after it.

Happy to report that it worked for me, I fell pregnant in my 2nd cycle after the procedure (I was on a business trip during my fertile period in the first cycle so 0 chances of it happening anyways), and I am now 9 weeks pregnant. I had my first ultrasound last week and everything looked great with a baby measuring like it should and a strong heartbeat!

@Londongirl87 firstly, congrats on your pregnancy, I hope you’re feeling well. Can I ask, assuming it was in London, which clinic did you go to for your HyCoSy ? I’m considering it but a bit overwhelmed by the choice!

@Sierra26 I was followed by a consultant at the CRGH, but he referred me to the Gynecology Ultrasound Center, in Harley Street. They were great!
