Hi everyone, this is my first time posting and I am very confused at what to do. I have just come to the end of provera and am about to start stims in the next few days once I have my period and unfortunatley I have been ill with a cold from last week and now that has turned into an eye and chest infection. I have spoken to my clinic and all they said was 'its upto you if you want to proceed and there is no research on whether this may impact the quality of eggs. We are investing a huge amount of time and money into the process and just want to know if we can or should continue and are looking for some advice. Hoping someone out there may be able to help.

Personally I would wait until well. If the cycle failed you would blame yourself for being unwell. It’s hard enough if you have a negative cycle when fully fit.

I went ahead with a FET with tonsillitis and still ask myself years later ‘why didn’t I wait?’. As you say this is a lot of money (and emotions) involved, you want to give yourself the best chance possible but, ultimately, only you can really decide.

Good luck on your fertility journey.

Aw thank you so much for the response, makes a lot of sense, I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you when you tried but hope you got there in the end with your journey! I really am just feeling stuck as it’s going to be tricky for me work wise to do in January and we have had so many setbacks getting to this point and it seems a shame that an annoying cold would be the reason we couldn’t proceed… I do know we need to take a long term view
