Chemical or not? Wtf is happening?!

Hi guys. Yesterday I was 7dp5dt from an FET and on the afternoon went to the toilet and noticed I was bleeding. Became a bit hysterical because this happened at 8dp5dt with my fresh in June. Came home from work and decided to test before going and getting some wine and buying a new vape after quitting! Was totally shocked to see my first ever positive test 🥺

Rang the clinic and they asked if I was spotting or fully bleeding and I explained it seems more than spotting but not full flow. I was thinking chemical for sure. The bleeding then slowed completely and has pretty much stopped. Did another FRER this morning (at 3am, trouble sleeping 🤦🏻‍♀️) expecting that if I’m still pregnant it would be darker with FMU and there’s no difference between the darkness of the line yesterday and the test this morning. I don’t know if that means it’s getting lighter or just that the timeframe was too close.

I don’t know what’s going on and I’m trying to hard to not get my hopes up. What do you guys think is most likely? Attached pic of my test from yesterday.

Have you had your progesterone checked? That can sometimes cause bleeding. Could you ask the clinic to check your HCG levels too?

For 7dp5dt, that looks like a good positive to me. Fingers crossed for you. 😀

I had this for both my transfers. It was implantation bleeding and both pregnancies were successful. Fingers crossed for you.

I called the clinic and they aren’t going anything until my OTD on Monday where they’ll do the usual HCG level check! So we’re just in a weird limbo.

Aw thank you, that’s reassuring. I can’t believe I’m seeing actual non evap and not line eyes lines, it’s crazy!

Update, so below is 7dp5dt PM, 8dp5dt AM and this morning, 9dp5dt AM. I really hoped for an obvious darker line. I THINK it looks darker but I don’t know if I’m just kidding myself. I feel no further forward 🤦🏻‍♀️

Your last line is thicker, I obsessed over my tests too and was convinced they weren't darkening enough, but 48 hour comparisons are more accurate that 24 and hcg doubles around every 48 to 72 hours so your lines have darkened loads comparing the first to the last! Hope you have a good level of hcg on Monday :)

This is exactly what mine looked like at same stages and HCG was good at test date. We kept saying it was a chemical but it was far from it. You are pregnant! Congratulations

I feel like today the line isn’t as strong so I’m back to freaking out. Been awake since 3am overanalysing 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think the only way to know for sure is to get an HCG test done if you have a place near you? I had three done privately as I wanted to know, and tbh despite being technically 5+6 now I'm still freaking out daily due to fluctuating symptoms, random spotting etc. Only time will tell but may give you peace of mind yo get an hcg test done xx

Definitely darker this is what mine looked like. I tested 9dp5dt I'm now 20 weeks with a. Healthy baby.

Hi @StaceyWS88 I hope your ok, I found out on the 8th I was pregnant and then on the 10th (the day me period was due) I had what felt like a gush of discharge be it happened to be blood but that was all then the next day a little bit of brown blood and since then nothing! As I'm so early I'm lost and don't no where to go from here, i have just done another test and it's still positive 8 days later 🙈 my head is a mess right now not knowing what going on and the doctors don't care untill im 7 weeks! When you said you bled how much would you say, was it more then spotting? I read online some people have a bleed when their period is due but I still don't have much hope 😞

Waited 12 hours to test again, held urine for 3 hours and it’s massively faded, even tried tests from two different packs, definite chemical. Thanks for everyone’s help ❤️

@Imisscoffee2021 no more frozen but we do have another round on the NHS so just process and move onto the next one really!

Just on reading this for help as I’m in a similar limbo now too. This isn’t from ivf but got a positive test yesterday and this morning but both looked the same, now tonight I’ve had that sort of one bit of blood followed by more spotting like blood but this is always how AF starts. Going to sleep with everything crossed that it’s implantation and there’s no more! Hope you get some good news from your next cycle 🤞🏼
