Did you take Cyclogest after FET?

My clinic would like me to take it twice a day following a natural cycle with trigger. I’m sure heard of others not taking it and would prefer not to take it myself if possible.

I asked the consultant why it’s necessary and was told, ‘Because we’re paranoid!’

Hi I've had 2 FETs, both natural cycles with trigger and my clinic had me on 2 cyclogest with both of them too. As far as I know I don't have any progesterone issues but I think it's just standard practise to be on the safe side rather than risking it just in case you have an unknown issue. My clinic said you can't have too much progesterone. They had me start it the evening after transfer. Its a bit yuck and messy but you get used to it.

I'm on utrogestan, alot of it as I didn't ovulate with this FET, oestrogen suppressed it wierdly so there's no corpus luteum producing it for me. I have low progesterone on 21 day bloods too, I think they just give it to you if you have naturally good progesterone so if there is implantation failure that can rule out low progesterone.

I think if things don't work out you know that at least it wasn't due to something as preventable as low progesterone.
I wouldn't risk it personally, even if I had lots of embryos. Too much emotional and financial investment in a FET to have any what ifs.

I am due my FET next week and should ovulate this evening/tomorrow according to today's scan (ovulation has fallen late this month due to stress). I will be taking Cyclogest, Estradiol and Lubion as soon as I surge. A previous cycle was canx due to bleeding after starting Cyclogest, I am terrified it will happen again. They have said the Estradiol should stop it, I am not confident and feel like there is too much progesterone in my system.
