2% morphology / ivf success?

Hi all, we are about to have our first meeting with abc ivf tomorrow.

We had an early miscarriage at the beginning of the year but nothing since and recently found out my husband has 2% morphology. Has anyone else managed to have success with similar results?! Thanks.

My husband had 1% morphology and ICSI worked first time for us.

We had consultations with ABC and we got the same results. We were advised ICSI.

We queried it, as from our reading 2% morphology should be okay, and ultimately went to see a very senior fertility consultant elsewhere for second opinion; he said he would not recommend ICSI - as all other parameters good so enough normal sperm for fertilisation. They said that if we didn’t go for ICSI we would have to sign a form acknowledging that we weren’t accepting their medical advice.

Anyway we went elsewhere for conventional IVF and got 6 high quality embryos in one cycle which is significantly above average!

My partner had 3 tests with 0% morphology and I am currently pregnant through our 1st ICSI round and we have a frostie in the freezer too.

Morphology is the easiest parameter to improve. Have a look in the Conception board for my thread about how we did it. From January this year. Lots of other posters on there report good results too. Good luck!

DH had extremely low morphology (I can’t remember the exact results) we had ICSI and I’m currently pregnant from the first transfer. We have 6 more good quality embryos frozen.

Thanks so much for all of your messages - we are due to start on my next cycle - so in around 10 days. Will update on how it goes! X

Can I ask what supplements did you all take during the treatment (and into pregnancy if it worked out?) I have just been taking pregnacare conception and a vit d but wondering if I should add some omega/ switch to pregnacare max!

Good luck with it! Hope it’s successful for you.
I took Pregnacare conception, my clinic recommend needing only Vit D and Folic acid so I just went with their advice.

Adding in any extras certainly won’t do any harm though so I’d go with what you feel comfortable with.

Hi dear what is update . Am also going for IVF. my husband had low morphology 2%😞,please share your experience .

That’s really great. Dear any update. Me also going to do this procedure. Please guide my husband also had really low morphology all other parameters really good . Only problem morphology. So doctors told me to do ICSI

I was taking today cetrotide injection there is little bit left in syringe down part not in injection. But I took syringe out is that okay or I dint take full dose am worried

From which clinic you are getting treatment. I am very upset at the moment. They collect 17 egg 11 good qualities 10 fertilised 1day 3 freez but all other didn't reach at blycto stage my hormone levels high so they can't do fresh transfer. Am very upset. Please guide

Hi dear how many cycle you did . I had my first cycle 17 egg collected 11 were good quality. 10 egg fertilize but only one day 3 they freeze all 9 couldn't grow to day 5 and 6 am very upset.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I was at BCRM in Bristol. We just had the one retrieval and one transfer. Have they given you any information?

Detestating at the moment. I think there lab is not good enough. I did in create. I don't have any issue my husband have low morphology 2%. No embryo grow to day 5
