Delayed / missing ovulation in cycle after IVF?

Morning all, I’m just wondering if it’s common to have a very delayed ovulation in the cycle immediately after a failed fresh IVF?

I normally get my LH peak anywhere from CD9 up to (occasionally) CD13, yet here I am on CD15 with no sign.

(I wonder if I may have missed the peak on the morning of CD11, how I wish I’d done a test that morning!)

Anyway, it’s really stressing me out because I’m on a very fine timeline in order to start my second IVF cycle before I turn too old for NHS treatment.

Does anyone have any advice please? Thank you ☕️

Anyone? <hopeful>

I am either 6dpo or I haven’t ovulated yet. If it’s the latter then I am not now going to be able to have a second NHS round, which is awful.

My LH tests in the past week have been resolutely very low.

I haven’t had ovulation pain, sore boobs, lower back ache, or those tiny milk spots all over my chest. I don’t think I’ve ovulated yet. Bugger 😔

Hey - I am no expert but just wanted to respond. Many women find their cycles following IVF can be out of their normal pattern. I presume it is because the IVF drugs can play havoc with your hormones. It's also possible you may have had your peak on the morning of CD 11. I think the best time of the day to use these strips is with second morning urine between 10am-12. I always drank too much water to get a reliable result from them though. I think the issue with OPKs is that it can be so easy to miss your peak. I found tracking temperatures made it so much easier to confirm ovulation along with these strips. I used the premom app to log them. Have you tried tracking BBT?
Good luck x

Hello - I don’t have much insight on this but my cycles are normally a regular 28 days but after my failed fresh transfer my period in my next cycle was four days late, so presuming my ovulation was delayed too. Fingers crossed you get some clarity soon - I know the uncertainty (op top of everything else) is so challenging.

An update if anyone searches for similar in the future. I had a scan the other day and it showed a corpus luteum, meaning that I had indeed ovulated. We think the peak was on CD11, meaning ovulation on cycle day 12. Smile
