IVF diet and alcohol

Since our last failed round we have been relaxing and remembering what it is to enjoy life again 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve been enjoying my wine, never loads but definitely more than a bottle a week and a couple of nights with cocktails. I’ve also been eating lots of yummy food (that a fertility nutritionist would shudder at 🤣). I’ve still been taking all of my vitamins. We unexpectedly have an opportunity to do another round this cycle. The question is - do we go for it or not? Those who have been successful, do you think food/alcohol made a difference? We would be doing a full egg collection again.

Personally I would go for it. My only successful round I was doing similar up until starting meds due to various events around that time. On other unsuccessful rounds I've been strict with diet and alcohol. Obviously that's just anecdotal but I've read the research and it says similar! Unless you're drinking moderately throughout, it doesn't really make a difference. I think you sound like you've been relaxing and de-stressing and you're in a good place mentally which is more important! Good luck whatever you decide.

I completely agree with @Dragonlady3 . I think there is a lot to be said for being in a good place mentally as well as physically. Unless you are hugely unfit and live off takeaways then I wouldn’t have thought your diet/lifestyle for the month before would make a huge difference. I had a few drinks during stims and I had a good few nights out and weekends away between EC and my successful FET. I honestly think it put me in the best mindset.
