Hello, wondering if anyone else is on a similar IVF timeline. I’m on short cycle and started stims 20th October. I’m on meriofert 225, which doesn’t seem to be a common drug. I’m with the lister hospital in London as a private patient. We have a 2 year old (conceived naturally) but need fertility treatment because my husband had cancer last year and the chemo damaged his sperm. Luckily we froze sperm in advance. I was thinking treatment would be simple as I’m youngish (32) and have no know issues. But the pre tests already showed polyps and thyroid issues so had delays sorting them and now I’m getting so nervous. We haven’t told many people we need ivf so I’m also nervous that friends will be assuming I’m pregnant as I’m not drinking and likely to get more and more bloated! Would love to chat with people at similar stage.

@maybebaby2023 good! It was so quick and underwhelming, but we ended up with decent quality blast and more to free so felt lucky. Not meant to test til 15th but will be hard to wait that long. Also did a ivf due date calculator and if it works would be due on my husband’s bday. My son was due on my birthday so feels like fate!! But also making me realised I’m already very attached to this one…. How are you getting on and when are you planning to test?

How is everyone getting on?

@maybebaby2023 how are you finding the wait? Guessing we’ll be similar wait as egg collection was close. I’ve been quite up and down and time is going so slowly. Feel quite periody but that could also be progesterone. My test day is Tuesday but I’ve got a full on work day so planning to test on the Monday (when I’m wfh) so I can have time to mope if needed.

@PimlicoMum4 sorry I only just realised what day of the week it is! How did yesterday go? 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@maybebaby2023 sadly negative test and my period has started. Waiting for the dr to call me back about a frozen cycle, hoping I can do it asap but worried Christmas will get in the way.
really hoping you’ve had better luck…?

@PimlicoMum4 Agh I'm really sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed you have plenty more in the freezer and are able to try again soon. It doesn't make this any easier though as I can imagine how attached you would be to this particular one. I think my clinic wants you to have one or two periods before they'll allow a frozen cycle but I might be imagining that.

I conceded defeat and did a test last Friday, it was positive. I've done a few more since then and they have all have been positive as well. My official date isn't until tomorrow so I'll do a clearblue digital one then. I must say I'm obviously delighted and so grateful that it's positive but still absolutely terrified of it being a chemical pregnancy or something going wrong so I still feel just as anxious as I did a week ago, but for slightly different reasons!
