How do you look after your mental health while TTC?

I am in the process at starting treatment again to hopefully have a second child.
We did IUI for our first DD but almost 4 years ago, we also suffered 2 miscarriages.
starting the process again is bringing up anxiety and I want to protect my mental health through this journey.

Any recommendations? (Therapy being the obvious one).

Specific books, podcasts, meditation etc.

Hi @Georgiabulldogs I completely agree with the need to protect your mental health through this journey. It’s a long painful road. This is what I’ve found has helped me:

Podcast wise: IVFthis and Jackie Brown’s IVF mediations on Spotify are amazing. IVFthis has been like therapy for me.

I loved the book His and Hers survival guide to IVF. I’m not sure if you are contemplating IVF but it’d a must read if so…She had a failed cycle, miscarriage and successful cycle so comes at it from all angles. Having had a miscarriage from an IVF round myself, it helped me immensely.

If you want a cathartic film to just cry and let go, ‘Only You’ is phenomenal. We watched it before we started IVF and it really made me feel so so much less alone.

I also follow others who have suffered from infertility on YouTube, in particular I like ‘Tim and Celeste’. They had 8 cycles of IVF and Celeste is now 30 weeks pregnant with a perfect little girl. Love their updates.

Journaling has proven to be effective. I also really enjoy listening to podcasts. The clinic I'm having treatment at actually posted this list of podcasts which I really liked on their instagram!
