Natural Modified IVF with Create

Hi all!

I am 31 with a 3 year old and after 18months of trying, we decided to get checked with Create. I found out my AMH is 0.9 which is super low and going down the Premature Ovarian Failure route (premature menopause)

I start my 3 cycle IVF tomorrow with my first scan. I keep reminding myself that due to my age my quality of eggs will be good!

Need some success stories please as I am going crazy! It's also affecting my husbands mental health ☹

Hi - I am 36 and have been trying for my first since I was 32.
I recently did a narural modified 3 cycle package with Create St Paul's and am now 11 weeks pregnant.
A little background, I have low AMH (6), obviously poor ovarian reserve, endometriosis and adenomysosis.
I did the first 2 cycles back to back then felt really exhausted and had a break before the final cycle.
First cycle I retrieved 6 eggs with one day 3 and one day 5 frozen.
Second cycle 4 retrieved and 1 day 3 frozen.
Third cycle I retrieved 2 eggs one day 3 which was transferred fresh and 1 day 5 which was frozen.
You have age on your side massively and that's defo thing to remember. I felt like time was not on my side at all and after 4 years of trying I was starting to accept that this might not be. I still can't believe that I'm pregnant!
I would say I had a positive experience with Create. I received really good treatment and care.
I had previously had a failed egg collection on the nhs and then my nhs clinic closed indefinitely due to staff shortages but actually it wss a blessing to choose a clinic that specialises in us with low amh.
Wish you the best of luck!! Hopefully you can come back and post how you got on at the end.

Hi @Scarlett868

Congratulations that is great news!!! I am at St Paul's too with my nearest base in Loughton. I started my injections today which is made me feel a bit weird.. is this normal? My one dominant follicle is at 14mm already so just hoping for the best!!
Any injection and medicine advice will be appreciated too! X

Thank you so much!
I did not know they had a base in Loughton. I'm based in Wanstead so that's really handy.
I found the injections OK I guess. Because I don't produce a lot of eggs I didnt get too much pain but I did find I would get a bit panicky at night like a fluttery chest feeling and struggled to sleep which I think was all the hormones.
Are you taking gonal f and cetrotide? Xx

aaaarti · 15/10/2022 10:19

@Scarlett868 I'm in South Woodford so yes defo Loughton is good for scans and blood tests but I'm on my way to St Paul's now for one as my follicle has grown rapidly. Yes I'm on those injections but finding the morning ones a nightmare with more pain and itchy/stinging - I just hope we are doing them right! Oh no I hope that feeling went away quickly for you!! How is your pregnancy going? Xx

OP posts:
Scarlett868 · 15/10/2022 16:55

@aaaarti Oh yeah you always get a little rash from the morning ones! I had to get the nurses in St Paul's to do those ones for me a couple of times and they said don't worry about the rashes.
How many days have you been on the injections?
How did your scan go?
The pregnancy has been ok so far thanks. Lots of nausea and I been getting hip pain so sleeping has been a bit tough.

I had a scan at 6 weeks at Create and saw a little heart beat but it's just such a long wait in between appointments. I thought the 2ww was bad.

I have my 12 week scan on Friday but I'll be nearly 13 weeks at that point. Very nervous about the scan as you just don't know what's going on inside. I think I wish i was made of glass sometimes so I could know what's what lol. Xx

aaaarti · 23/10/2022 19:10

@Scarlett868 So sorry for the overdue reply! I did my first egg collection last week but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. I had 2 eggs, 1 wasn't mature enough and the other had abnormalities. Will be starting my 2nd cycle soon!

How are you getting on? How was your scan?? Xx

OP posts:
Scarlett868 · 23/10/2022 20:41

@aaaarti Ahh I'm sorry to hear that. How are you feeling?
On my first egg collection with the nhs they didnt get an egg out of the 1 follicle I had.
Are you going to have a break before starting the next one?
The scan was insane. Very glad to see a baby with a heart beat!
I have a retroverted uterus though so it was hard to get a good picture and the sonographer couldn't measure the baby. I was scanned for 2 hours on and off and have to go back Thursday to be re-scanned.
Doesn't leave much time to have my bloods and that done to check for abnormalities so hopefully they can measure it all on Thurdsay. Xx

Hello ladies
How have things been going? I'm starting natural modified next week with CD5 scan on Tuesday. Looking forward to it but at the same time so apprehensive not to be bringing my hopes up (I've got low AMH of 3, so they're hoping to collect 0-2 eggs). Hope everything is going well with you! Any experience you share would be much appreciated!!

Scarlett868 · 12/12/2022 07:45

@Summerishere83 hi- how are you feeling going into this?
Are you doing a 3 cycle package or just the one
I know what you mean about not building hopes up. They gave me a 10% chance of success and with having a previous failed NHS round I was kind of thinking if I could just get 1 egg it would be something.
I'm 20 weeks pregnant now and still cant believe it!!
Are you at the ST Paul's clinic? Xxx

Summerishere83 · 12/12/2022 08:00

Morning @Scarlett868
Thanks for replying! Happy for you:)) how's the pregnancy going? All the best:)))
Yes I'm going to St Paul's, they gave me 2-5% chance but after all, it is a chance. Yes I'm hoping too for at least 1 healthy egg per cycle, doing 3 egg collections back to back. I've met so far Dr Joshi and Dr Filis, not sure who's my consultant or both are, also Richelle who's a nurse.
I guess I'm looking forward to knowing what's going on finally and having a consultant to discuss it with rather than driving myself crazy with browsing the internet... I don't seem to be able to think about anything else for the past year so that's not been good.. but overall, I'm feeling hopeful :)

Scarlett868 · 12/12/2022 08:28

@Summerishere83 thank you so much! The pregnancy is going well so far. Obviously an ivf pregnancy means you classed as high risk so there are a little more appointments than normal but I don't mind as you get to see the baby a bit more. I've been surprisingly chilled throughout lol.
Yeah I found doing the 3 cycles less stressful than with the nhs. The guys at Create explained everything fully and felt a lot more looked after.
I think with us we were in our 4th year trying for a baby so we weren't hugely hopeful but just wanted a chance to get to transfer to see. Xxxx

aaaarti · 13/12/2022 08:33

So sorry for the very late replies! @Scarlett868 I am so happy and pleased to hear your pregnancy is going well!!! How are you feeling?
@Summerishere83 Wishing you all the luck! It is a big shock to find out about low AMH and thinking your body is falling you.

After my first unsuccessful cycle, I had to abandon the next one due to the follicle still being there and now I have a cyst! I have a scan at St Paul's tomorrow to see if they can get rid of it or carry on with cycle. Feeling very mentally drained that I even asked my husband if he regretted marrying me last night 🙈 I still have hope though!!!

Summerishere83 · 13/12/2022 08:39

Thanks @aaaarti !
I know how you feel, I feel guilty somehow.. and I also have a cyst, on my way to the scan today and hoping it will have gone away so I can start the IVF at least. Xx

aaaarti · 13/12/2022 11:05

@Summerishere83 Hope your scan goes well today! Keep us posted! Hoping you can start growing them follicles soon 😊 xx

OP posts:
Summerishere83 · 13/12/2022 14:03

Hi @aaaarti
Thanks, it did :) So don't feel bad about the cyst, I was told it's quite common and it should resolve by itself. Mine luckily has collapsed and it's now half the size (that's 5 weeks after the scan it was noted on). Still waiting for blood results to see if we can go ahead with the IVF this month or it's producing hormones and we'll have to wait until next cycle (4 follicles at the moment). Try not to stress and good luck!! :)

Sunflower360 · 19/08/2023 18:10

Hi, I'm starting natural modified IVF soon through Create. I'm 37, AMH 4.3 and had 1 x failed NHS cycle. Would be good to know how those in this thread got in with their Create cycles? Advice welcomed!

aaaarti · 19/08/2023 21:59

Hi @Sunflower360 I'm not with Create anymore but I did have 3 failed IVF Cycles with them. Not really their fault but I did find their customer service a bit poor.
Are you with London St Pauls? Overall they were great with the level of care medical wise. Wishing you all the luck with your IVF journey x

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 19/08/2023 22:03

Sorry to hear that @aaaarti were there any specifics that were picked up during the 3 cycles, did you get embryos to transfer?

aaaarti · 20/08/2023 17:41

@Sunflower360 The conclusion they came to was along with low AMH, the quality of my eggs are low as well. I never got to transfer stage as it was all messing up during fertilisation.
I am now going ahead with Egg donor with London Egg Bank 😊

All the best @aaaarti hope it all works out
