Anxiety before viability scan, how to relax?

Hi ladies

I am in the same place I was in last IVF cycle. a good beta result but I am experiencing less symptoms. Last time I had no bleeding or cramping at all but an empty gestational sac at the 7 week scan. I remember my breasts didn’t feel as sore. I am now feeling the same and I’m terrified. Does anyone have any tips on how to cope till the viability scan? I am so so anxious there will be nothing there again.

It doesn’t feel like a 2 week wait, it feels like a 5 week wait. I wish I had some symptoms 😞

I’m sorry I don’t actually have any advice I just saw you had no replies & didn’t want to scroll past.
perhaps a very good book/ podcast/ Netflix binge to keep your mind (somewhat) occupied. Best of luck 🤞

Thank you. Never been so scared. I guess at the end of the day this stage will be over in two weeks whatever happens. IVF got popcorn and pringles to binge on tonight

I am a big reader and I have never read as many books as I did whilst pregnant. It was my escape and my way to take my mind of things. I also recommend a good Netflix series, something easy to watch. I got into Gilmore Girls when I was about 5 weeks pregnant. Try to get early nights, I find that if I’m tired then anxiety is worse. Fingers crossed that all goes well x

Oh and I found the app Headspace really good. Just listening to a 10 min exercise each day when I was starting to feel anxious really helped.

Audio books are good for a distraction if you can’t concentrate enough to actually read x

Thank you for all the suggestions ladies, it really does help. DH is away on business right now so it’s making the time pass even more slowly. Had a busy day at work yesterday so that was good though.

I’m going to download Headspace and listen to some audio books. I can’t concentrate enough to read right now so audio books is a really good idea
