I don't know if I can do this all over again

Our IVF cycle on the NHS started last August with our first consultation. It ended today with the EPU nurse telling me there was nothing there on the scan. I don't know why I'm posting but I really thought we had a chance when we started out with 4 embryos. Then I thought we had a chance when I got my BFP a week ago, when we rushed off to the shops to get another test at 9pm. And now we're back to square one. It's too tiring, too traumatic, I don't know if it's worth it.

I am so so sorry @thislittlebird All I can say is I understand. We’ve been trying for four years and had an early miscarriage with our first IVF cycle. The embryo was the only one from 14 eggs. It was devastating but we are going to do another IVF cycle and PGTA next time. This is the only option we’ve got left to try.

Sending you strength at this very difficult time. 💙

@TwentyoneSleeps thank you, I'm sorry you've been through this too. It's so hard to get that glimmer of hope and it to all fall apart as soon as it started. We're going to start again soon, I just need to process all this and go from there, but I can't see me having the will to do this for too long. One round and three transfers has been a lot to cope with in terms of failure after failure, repeating that another two times is daunting enough and I don't think I could do more than one or two more rounds.

@thislittlebird I am sorry to read this and I feel your pain. It is indeed too tiring and too traumatic and it is unfair to have to struggle where most people don’t have any problems. But we are also so strong that we can find that inner energy to continue. Take time to process these results but remember they are only intermediate and not final! With every new transfer your chance of success increases. xxx

@TheDutchess3 that’s a good point to remember, thank you. I’m hoping my uterus understands what it’s supposed to do now one has managed to implant 🙃. The third was the most ‘successful’ so far, so it’s not untrue.
