Low beta and the same line on tests for 6 days. Clutching at straws

So I found out at 6dp5dt that I was pregnant on a frer and got 1-2 weeks on clearblue. The lines made no progression on tests up to 11dp5dt. I had my beta yesterday at 11dp5dt and it was 34.9. I know this isn’t promising but just don’t know who to turn to.

I’ve been through such a rollercoaster of emotions through the 2ww being devastated it hasn’t worked, to being
elated and overjoyed when I found out. Back to panic over lines and now this. To make things worse I told my husband on his birthday I was pregnant and he was so happy. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this. I’m looking for advice for those that have been through it, how do you get over it and when did you try again? Or from those with success stories..

I have to go back tomorrow for another beta. Until then I’m in limbo and can’t even eat I feel so shook up..

That sounds like good news @BlueMumma2018. A doubling time within 72 hours is normal ranges so there is reason to be hopeful! Will they continue to monitor HCG or scan again in week or two? Really hoping your bean carries on fighting.

@hopefullsosbry i had my hcg bloods test and came back at 243 so I’m booked in for my scan on 17th October when I’ll be 7weeks. I just can’t stop worrying things will go same way as last time. Hopefully once I’ve had scan I’ll be able to relax a bit

@LT103 That seems like a really good number! How many days post transfer are you? Fingers crossed everything keeps going in the right direction. It's hard to relax into it when you've experienced things go wrong.
@hopefullsosbry I've got my lining scan on Monday so hopefully everything will be in place and we'll be looking at transfer a week after that. The last two transfers were back to back ectopics (even after having both tubes removed for the first) so it's hard not to worry.

Ugh @BlueMumma2018 been there and it’s obviously so hard not to worry. My first didn’t work out well but I did find lots of positive stories. Sometimes the numbers are just sow to rise

Bloods 45 hours later hcg 227. Still in limbo 😞 all I’ve done all day is cry

The waiting it out and not knowing is absolutely the worst part. Your numbers are still increasing but unfortunately I don’t think you will know one way or the other until your next scan. Do you have a scan booked yet?

Hi @LT103 i haven’t got one booked as they’ve said it’s too early to scan (Im guessing they’re going by numbers) I feel like I’m doomed either way. I’ve read that even in cases like this that get to see a heartbeat they often still miscarry. Praying I’m a 1 in a million

@BlueMumma2018 even when I had low numbers last transfer they booked me in but I had to be 6+4 as a minimum as by that stage they should be able to see embryo if everything was fine.
what did they say to your more recent bloods?

@LT103 what were your numbers and what did you see at the scan? I think they will scan me over the weekend or so as they’re worried about ectopic. They just keep saying “they’re very low” or “we want them to be higher” I’m like yes huns I know how you feel 😂

My first transfer my numbers were:
10dpt 32
12dpt 56
16dpt 180 (4 days as thurs-mon and no bloods at weekend)
18dpt 330

at this point they said stop and book in for scan. I ended up having bloods the following week because I had a bleed which would have been 23 and 25dpt and they were 1280 and 1850.

i had a scan at 6+4 which showed a gestational sac that was around 6mm I think but nothing else. They said should have at least seen yolk sac and probably embryo at that point. Also it was measuring too small

they repeated my scan a week later and it had grown to around 9mm and had a yolk sac but no embryo so they said it was a miscarriage/anembryonic pregnancy and referred me to EPU.

however, there are lots of people who start with very low hcg levels which increase slowly and go on to have a perfectly normal pregnancy so I’m keeping up the hope for you!!

like you though, I got so annoyed at them constantly saying the hcg is too low/suboptimal rise but then not being able to give me an answer. Just kept saying yes it’s really frustrating. I know!!!!!

That's not a bad increase, though obviously it's still low for where you're at. Agree totally that the limbo is really the most difficult thing to cope with. I know I felt like if it wasn't going to work out, I just wanted to know and be able to start processing it. It's so difficult when there's that bit of hope but you're too afraid to let yourself feel it.

Awh that’s good it’s still increasing and going in the right direction, could it just be late from late implantation, I have heard that transfers can sometimes be later in implanting, I really feel for you with the waiting and not knowing, easier said than done but just try relax, it’s defo a wee fighter you have in there .. how far on are you now? Are you 5 weeks ?

so I had my 6 week scan today. There was a yolk sac measuring 5 weeks 2 days. They are still cautious about it as am I. I have to go back in a week 😬🤯

oh.. that’s great news it’s not eptopic and great news they can see the yolk sac .. I wonder if it just took longer to implant ..you may have a little miracle there .. so do you need to get another scan at all ? Are your HCG levels still showing low ish ? Hopful all will be ok and your wee baba will keep on fighting as it has been 💪🏽 .. sending all the luck in the world to you 🥰 xxx

@BlueMumma2018 so glad that it wasn’t ectopic. Fingers crossed this was just a late inplanter and it keeps growing!!! Let us know how things go next week!!
