Anyone been through egg collection recently?

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone has been through egg collection recently. I had mine on Friday. 18 eggs collected and I'm at a slight risk for OHSS. I don't seem to have any of the symptoms but I definitely feel strange. My ovaries still feel really big, kind of like the way your bladder feels when it's really full, and I'm really tired. I'm not in any pain but my abdomen feels tender. Does anyone know if this is normal or
should I get on to my clinic? Any advice appreciated X

Hello, I too had egg collection on Friday. I had 5 eggs collected. I felt really tired yesterday, feel a little more like myself today. My abdomen also feels tender, feels a bit like Iv done too many sit ups and pulled a muscle. I haven’t needed to take any paracetamol or anything. I expect this is because I didn’t have a great number of eggs (happy I got some though 🙂)
I would give your clinic a call, it’s best to keep them informed if you are not feeling well.
I hope you feel better soon and best of luck with your treatment.

@Piapea mine was just over 12 weeks ago- I know this because it worked and I'm 11+5 today.

I had 21 collected and was really high risk- I had a lot of bloating and was really sore for weeks. I upped my protein intake drank lots of water ( I bought bottled water to keep count) and drank lucozade sport. I l thought I had OHSS more than once but I continued with high protein water and lucozade sport.

My clinic said I had some fluid around the ovaries but that as I'd had lots of eggs collected it was normal.

It all settled back around 8 weeks later I was 7 weeks pregnant at the time.

If you had 18 eggs collected you had your ovaries pierced with a needle at least 18 times.

Hope it settles for you.

Thanks @PMAmostofthetime and @Farmersweeklyreader . I feel quite a bit better today, well less bloated and tender. It's probably just taking a few days to get over the procedure. I'm going hard on the coconut water at the moment but think I'll add in some lucozade sport. Now on to the next hurdle.. transfer on Wednesday, hope it sticks!🤞

Just a quick update! They transfered a top quality expanding blast today and there's 4 more going into the freezer. Two more are a bit slow and they'll let me know if those ones make it tomorrow. So thankful that it's been mostly positive news since I started. Wishing the best for you @Farmersweeklyreader for your transfer and @PMAmostofthetime for the rest of your pregnancy x
