Any ivf success stories with endometriosis ?
first fet failed to implant even though it was an excellent quality embryo 😢 last cycle got only 3 eggs and ended with just one blastocyst. My ovaries dint respond well even with highest medication. Any tips / suggestions to improve egg quality / number of mature eggs. Desperately need some positive response to keep me going . It’s so stressful 😞

Me! We didn’t collect a lot of eggs after stims (7) but all were of good quality. Our first FET was successful and I am nearly 6 and a half months pregnant with our baby boy xx

Also, big fat negative podcast host emma has endo and PCOS, she’s had 2x successful rounds following one that failed a few years back x

Congratulations😊 Good to hear some positive news 👍 having my baseline scan tmrw .. will be starting my next round soon. Did u get genetic testing done on ur embryos? Also was it blastocyst transfer/ did u know the quality of ur embryos ?

Yep, I have endo and am pregnant with my second ivf baby. My first two frozen transfers failed, and I had slightly higher than normal NK cells, so for FET #3 i had intralipid infusions and it worked. For this pregnancy, I was using a frozen embryo from my first round, and copied the exact process in the transfer and it worked first go. The consultant didn't say it was related to the endo though, so not a silver bullet.

Ps my embryos were all 5 day blastocysts, and had been pgd tested. I didn't get told the embryo quality but they said they were all good to go.

How did you know about the NK cells ? Does endometrial tests tell something about this ? If yes then will definitely try to include that in my plan.

After the first two failed transfers my fertility clinic did the nk cell test. Can't remember if it was a blood test or a test of endometrial cells though. I'd suggest getting the test done just in case

Hi - I did a 3 cycle package and did back to back collections as I have low ovarian reserve, endometriosis and adenomysosis. After 3 egg collections we have 4 embryos frozen and I had a fresh transfer with a day 3 8 cell embryo and it stuck!
It is really disheartening to havr such low numbers but it does just take one.
All the best with everything!! Its such a journey for us all.

we didn’t get genetic testing done no. All of our embryos were 5 day blasto cysts. They didn’t tell us all the grading but said 5 were of excellent quality and we didn’t ask to be honest. Two were slower to catch up but did by day 5.

Yeah baseline scan was good..will be on gonal f, clomid and meriofert this time .. hope it works for us this time

starter stimulation injections and had my scan yesterday. Got 11 follicles ( 8 on right and 3 on left 😢). Next scan on Monday .

@APSR How did you get on with your 2nd round? Sorry don’t have any positive stories to share myself yet. I’m currently going through the same thing - diagnosed with endometriosis, had my first round of ivf in November, short protocol on Meriofert. Resulted in only 5 eggs retrieved. Ended up with 2 day 5 blasts but not good quality so nothing to freeze. Did a fresh transfer of both but sadly neither stick. Just about to start round 2 this month. Doctor didn’t want to change anything for this round. Hope your 2nd round went ok x

We had good results with CREATE fertility in Manchester, following a disastrous round of IVF on the NHS at St Mary’s. Totally different approach at CREATE to that used at St Mary’s. Our consultant (Dr Nafee) recommended suppressing the endo first before starting IVF- I had an initial baseline scan then a Buserilin injection, then review after a month followed by another Buserilin injection. After that we started IVF… we signed up to one cycle initially (short protocol, low stimulation dose) with the option to upgrade to a 3 cycle package depending on results of first cycle. Results were:

1st cycle- 5 eggs collected 1 fertilised and frozen at day 3.

2nd cycle (after month off to allow a bit of recovery time): 3 eggs collected, all fertilised and were taken to day 5, 2 frozen as good quality blastocysts.

3rd cycle (after further month’s recovery): 6 eggs collected, 4 made it to day 5 and were frozen, 2 top quality blastocysts and 2 good quality blastocysts.

Embryo transfer 2 months later. One of the top quality blastocysts became our little boy, who’s now a chunky toddler.

I was 38 going on 39 when I had this treatment and had stage 3 endo.

How is everyone getting on on this thread. I’m starting first round ivf after two miscarriages in the last 12months. I’m 37 now trying for first. Also suspected endo, low AMH and AFC for my age so feel like I have literally everything against me plus the trauma of two miscarriages. I hope everyone is doing as well as possible xxx

@FloraSpoke you might not see this but I wanted to ask - were you given oestrogen as part of your FET protocol? I’m about to start Buserilin for 1 month but after 2 weeks they want me to take oestrogen tablets which I’m nervous about due to it potentially flaring up my endo. Would love to know if you had any estrogen. Thanks!
