Brown discharge then suddenly period arrived after bowel movement - ttc after 3 miscarraige

TMI apologies.

I have had 3 miscarriages. This last one has changed my cycle somewhat (as in first proper cycle).

I ovulated earlier (on day 14 compared to usually around day 20).

I usally spot for 3 days before my period with red blood. Nothing this time until 13/14 dpo I had some brown discharge.

This morning (16dpo) I've gone to loo and was brown discharge when I wiped. No red period blood. Then needed bowel movement. Then straight after my bowl movement was what I presume was my period suddenly starting!

Just wondered if anyone had similar changes or periods that suddenly start (and only after a BM)

That's normal. When you have a bowel movement you contract your pelvic muscles and that will often push out any discharge or blood that's sitting higher up in your vaginal canal.

I also have some periods where I have spotting and some months where I start suddenly, just like you described. I always thought it was down to my progesterone levels.

Thank you for replying. Just so frustrating really though as I wasn't spotting fresh it may have been a sign.
