Hi guys! I need help deciding which progesterone to pick for my FET in October. Has anyone had PIO intramuscular shots before? How did you find them?
This is my 4th embryo transfer. Under NHS 1 IVF ICSI & 1 FET failed, and privately my last IVF ICSI has ended in a CP at 6 week pregnancy. I have few embryos in storage and I am about to order meds for FET:
Option 1) is intramuscular injections of progesterone on oil, once per day. to be done on the bum by someone else preferably. The drug name would be Prontogest.
Option 2) Lubion, twice per day. This is subcutaneous, I had it before.
One factor is money, Prontogest Intramuscular is £3 per day Vs Lubion that is £16 per day ( for 12 weeks is £252 Vs £1344)
I know PIO intramuscular are very painful and I am just worried I won’t be able to do my usual super busy crazy job whilst limping around. Also OH is a bit useless with needles.
