Only 3 eggs fertilised with ICSI... Success stories wanted

As title says. We found out today that only 3 out of 9 eggs fertilised. I would love to hear stories of people with low numbers of fertilised eggs. We are having a freeze all due to my lining being thin.

I recently had 9 eggs collected, 5 fertilised and I ended up with 1 5AA blast transferred. I felt deflated as I heard everyone else's results but it only takes one, I'm currently pregnant with my one.

I was originally told that I had 3 good follicles and was given the option to abandon so we could get a partial refund and try again but we felt we'd put everything we could into so decided to continue and I'm now pregnant, they couldn't believe they managed to get 9 eggs so as hard as it is to focus on numbers just be kind to yourself and as this cycle could be the one that gives you your baby x

We had 6 eggs collected, 3 fertilised with ICSI and only 1 made it to blast. That blast is now a happy and healthy baby!

Good luck! Remember - quality trumps quantity (according to my clinic).

@Melissa1983 Thats amazing, congratulations! A 5AA blast is really really good. Definitely a great decision to keep going with the cycle!!

@Scirocco Thanks so much for sharing your numbers, they really do give me hope 😊 Need to remember the quality over quantity mantra!

2 eggs. 1 embryo. 1 bfp who is now 7. At the time it felt completely hopeless. Quality is the most important thing.

I agree quality is more important than quantity.

Exactly a year ago today I was told that I hadn’t really responded to the IVF injections/medication as they wanted me to, that I only had 1 mature egg and I was lucky there was a small chance I would have 2 but that was it and on top of that I had developed fluid in my uterus and if that hadn’t gone by Friday (2 days after) they’d to cancel my cycle, freeze the egg (s) and I’d had to wait 1-2 months and do a frozen transfer.

2 days after I had 5 eggs collected, 4 fertilized the day after (ICSI) 2 days after on the Monday I had 1 embryo transferred and he’s now a happy 3 months old baby 🙏🏻 So there is hope 🙏🏻 I still have 2 in the freezer.
