Fallopian Tube Fluid

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone is able to offer me any advise or reassurance.

I went for a baseline scan (day3) to check lining/ovaries etc before having a natural FET in September.

But the lady who did my scan said that on my right fallopian tube she can see fluid (?) but is not sure if it's blocked or if its from previous surgeries I've had..( bowel surgery) so has asked me go go back in 9 days time to check again.

Should I be concerned? She said that at the moment she wouldn't tell me to hang fire with the FET but if it doesn't work then I will need to have more investigations.

I really don't know what I'm expecting as a response, I just feel really worried and want to know what questions I should be asking etc.

Thank you for reading 💜💙

Hi,

I had a similar issue. I was told there was fluid in my right tube due to a hydrosalpinx and that i would need it treated before IVF transfer as it can be toxic to the uterus/embryo. I had to have surgery to block my right tube and then a follow up to check it was blocked which it was.

i believe it does clear up on its own but not in my case as it was quite severe.

Hope this helps and you have more clarity from your doctor since you posted this!

@UHAMK Hi thank you so much for replying, I had another scan at day 12. To which they were still not entirely sure?!?
Saying that I'm now coming to the end of this window as I didn't ovulate this month so hoping next month I do. But they have said They will not scan be again just wait for ovulation to occur.
