Hi guys,

have been trying for a baby for 2 years now, had one early miscarriage after about a year of trying.

I Have a lap and dye on Friday which I’m terrified about and starting to regret going for it. Have a couple of endometriomas so they are hopefully going to remove them and see what else they can do.

Just after anyone else’s experiences of lap/dye? Just have this horrible feeling that I’m gunna be out under the GA and not wake up, or have complications etc!

Anyone found it easier to conceive after?

Thank you xxx

Did you have the lap? I'm in the same position x

Hi both

I had one last year and I'm really glad I did because they found that both of my fallopian tubes are blocked.

Whilst this was upsetting news the positive side is that I have now got a referral for NHS funded IVF so it has sped that side of things up a lot rather than waiting until I've been trying for 2+ years for NHS funding.

They also found significant endometriosis which they treated.

Thats brilliant. Have you got a date for ivf yet? X

I had the lap and was absolutely fine and so glad I did. Unfortunately found out my tubes are blocked and need ivf. Currently waiting to start that. But I’m so glad I had the surgery as it gave me answers and I feel like a weight has been lifted!

The one think that was a bit frustrating was that they removed a 3cm endometrioma that had been there for years on my ovary, and now since the surgery it has come back, and is now 8cm and that ovary ain’t producing follicles because of it 🤦🏻‍♀️ So wishing they hadn’t touched that… But think I’m probs quite unlucky there x

Hi Lola, I hope you are well. Were your tubes badly blocked? Is that why they couldn't unblock them? I have 1 blocked tube and wondering if it's worth having the lap or just going straight to IVF. We already have a daughter so we would have to pay it's around 7k. Xx
