Approx which cycle day is egg collection? Trying to plan!

Hi all, I am trying to plan my time off from work for my IVF cycle.

I usually ovulate on day 12 or 13, following a LH peak on day 11 or 12.

I will be doing mild IVF and wondered if there’s an approximate day that egg collection falls? Is it the same day as natural ovulation or do the drugs make it sooner or later?

It’ll depend on how your respond to stims and not your normal ovulation timing. I was on stims for 12 days, did my trigger and then had EC on day 14. Until you start it would hard to predict, I was told I would stim for between 8 and 12 days. I just called in sick on my EC day as I didn’t want to book 4 days annual leave to cover the possible window.

@AbsolutelyEverything I told my boss in the end as with the scans every other day during stims and EC needing 2 days off it was so unpredictable- That it was easier that she knew so I could just say I have an appointment I need 2 days off- my work also had an IVF policy so I had extra leave given to me for my 1st cycle. I needed 2 full cycles. One in March and then one in July.

Only my oh and my boss know, so it wasn't an easy decision to make but I w oh I'd have needed to take at least a week of annual leave or gone on the sick for a week.

First time EC was 8 days after stims 2nd time. 10 days and I only knew 48 hours before- like previous poster said it depends on how you respond. Good luck.
