Prednisolone/steroids for recurrent miscarriage?

Hello

I have today found out I'm pregnant again after multiple miscarriages (in double figures).

My last pregnancy I was prescribed clexane, progesterone and high dose folic acid.

I've done quite a lot of research and have read positive stories of steroids preventing miscarriage and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? Will the clinic just prescribe them for me?

Thank you

Congratulations. If its an nhs recurrent miscarriage clinic, in my experience, no they won't prescribe steroids. Mine won't prescribe anything despite 6 losses, not even folic acid or aspirin. It's worth asking but you might need to find a private specialist.

Hi op tentative congratulations. No most clinics don’t offer that. I had lots of miscarriages and had a baby after immune treatment. As Venus says you’ll probably need to go the private route. Popular names are Shehata and Gorgy. Best of luck

@elm26 hey , congrats on your pregnancy ! Just wondering how is your next pregnancy going ? I’m in the same boat , 6 early losses but this time my doctor is giving me steroid prodionsole. So yes nhs clinics do give it to you, but you really really have to push for it because I got it this time around , I’m doing ivf by the way :)

I’m on prednisone, intralipids, clexane and aspirin. After several losses went for tests and have overactive immune cells. I did this all privately, not in an NHS country.

I haven’t had my FET yet

Hi all, can I please ask you until which week of pregnancy were you taking Prednisolone, Intralipids, Clexane, Cyclogest?
