We need IVF/ICSI - sat in the car sobbing

How do you mentally deal with needing IVF? We've just had our appt with Mr Ramsay who said he thinks we need IVF with ICSI due to my partners numbers - I am in the car sobbing  I don't know how to process it, I have so many questions and I just wasn't mentally prepared to be told that.

I am fortunate that my partner has sperm, so don't want to sound ungrateful in any way as I know that's not always the case.

I was innthe same position 4 months ago, crying in the bath when we got my husbands parameters back, and finding out it's because of a varicocele he had looked at by a gp ten years ago who said he didn't have one. Been there this whole time essentially making him infertile!

Once I got over the shock of realising it wouldn't happen naturally, and stopped counting the pointless months that came before, I was actually hugely relieved that ICSI exists to give us that chance to be parents, doubley so when an embolization failed on the varicocele so he still has it.

We found out 4 months ago and now I'm sitting here on day three of stims, hopefully 10 days from egg collection, on our first round of ICSI.
