Hello everyone.

I m keen to ask, iff i just started taking Letrozole last night @ period day 3, is it possible for the LH reading to reflect immediate result --> i dipped an opk today @ period day 4 and it came back almost positive to my suprise...

Is this normal? dont hv much clues on letrozole, just started recently after almost 3 years ttc.

From the way it works, I don't think that's possible @ttcmom

ttcmom · 21/08/2022 11:17

Not so sure what had happened too. My LH surged and went normal again like roller coaster, perhaps just the side effects of previous Letrozole. I did test with pregnancy test just in case, and it was bfn too.. hopefully all is just well as im going to see my specialist tomorrow to scan the follicle at CD10 @IWillBeWaxingAnOwl

I’m on cycle day 10 I’ve got a scan on Wednesday to check if I have any follicles. I took 2 tablets a day from day 2 to day 6. That’s really good that your ppl is positive!

Sweet211 · 22/08/2022 09:38

@ttcmom hope your scan goes well. You’ve messaged so early are you from uk?

ttcmom · 22/08/2022 11:11

@Sweet211 hoping yours to go well on this coming wednesday hun! Do update when you could🤞🏻

As for me, my appointment this afternoon went pretty well, follicle and uterine lining is in desirable sizes.. was quite shocked to see that im actually about to ovulate, as early as cd 11/12! My specialist gave me Ovidrel injection to further help with the timed ovulation.. hoping this cycle will work its wonder!Blush🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@ttcmom im going to se how it goes they prob tell me to 3 tabs next cycle they don’t give trigger shot they prob will have to. I’ve taken clomid before and it’s never worked for me.

Great to hear @ttcmom . I'm currently on a cycle where nothing is happening and waiting to go onto 7.5mg. Called my clinic today to ask if I can take norethisterone to start over.

My letrozole history: 2.5mg failed and 5mg worked once then failed this cycle so 7.5mg it is. My clinic (NHS) don't do scans or trigger, just bloods to monitor. TTC number 1 for over 2.5 years now and I'd just like a chance!

ttcmom · 23/08/2022 14:23

@Sweet211 my specialist herself recommended me to have the trigger shot so as to confirm the ovulation to take place. Perhaps u could ask your gp/specialist on your coming appointment?

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl we're about the same, been ttc for 2.5 yrs now. Really hoping this letrozole will work its wonder. I found that ultrasound at cd10/11 really helped to see if there are follicles, and the uterine lining as well.. anyway i dint have blood test at day 21 since my specialist gave trigger shot to confirm ovulation taking place.. perhaps you could ask your gp to have few of these procedures so as to monitor your cycle closelySmile

@ttcmom I'm under fertility clinic not GP - in my healthboard GPs don't do ovulation drugs at all. The fertility clinic sadly don't offer scans as part of letrozole treatment

Got my up to date thyroid results today - TSH 0.75, Free T4 11.3 . I think these are normal? Have messaged the clinic with them

i prolly mixed the reference of GP & specialist... sorry for that Grin

We are doing the treatment under private fertility clinic hence the detailed procedure, each procedure is payable though. The more you are doing, the cost is getting more expensive BlushBlush

Wonder how would they know if the letrozole is working if they dont offer scan to see the follicles and uterine lining reacting to it? Im not really sure with the thyroid reading, hopefully your clinic will be able to explain it to you..

On which cycle day are you now hun @IWillBeWaxingAnOwl

CD36 @ttcmom so CD40 is Sunday to start taking norethisterone.

I don't ovulate at all without letrozole, so they can tell if I've ovulated by looking at CD21 bloods

Sweet211 · 24/08/2022 21:33

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl im on letrozole I went for day 12 scan they could see good size follicle I’ve got bloods on day 21 but my cycle varies from day 32-42
