DW and I are trying to conceive in the next couple of years. I have PCOS and am currently getting my body into a better place so that we can begin.

Years ago I TTC alone as a single parent by choice. It went horrifically including multiple miscarriages. I'm incredibly nervous about trying again.

Would we be mad to consider asking for a double embryo transfer (one egg from each of us into me), so that we raise our chances of only having to think about fertility once?

Thank you.

Hi @PurpleCatCuddles I'm sorry for your previous losses and difficulties.
This is a question you'd be better off asking of an assisted conception clinic.
Clinics will have different procedures and best practice. At mine, they will only transfer more than one blastocyst under very specific conditions. (We are not a same sex couple although I'm not sure they'd change that policy if we were).
Best of luck.

Personally, I'd be going to a miscarriage specialist (I see one and he discovered immune issues) before transferring any more embryos. Good luck.

I have a complex recurrent miscarriage and infertility history and my ivf clinic told me yesterday that they would not recommend double embryo transfers for me as my miscarriage risk is so high. I'm under a Reproductive Immunologist like @seven201 and have still lost 2 ivf pregnancies on an extensive immune plan. I would seek further investigation before transferring any embryos.
