Multiple miscarriages (double figures) positive MTHFR

Hello

My DH and I have had lots of miscarriages, we never make it past 7-8 weeks.

I've done the high dose folic acid, progesterone, blood thinning injections every day in my last pregnancy which resulted in a miscarriage at 7 weeks.

We want to try once more naturally and I've heard about adding steroids to the mix.

All our other tests came back clear apart from my positive MTHFR.

Has anyone been in a similar position?

Also considering paying for a Natural Killer Cells test.

150mg asprin
Clexane 40mg
5mg folic acid

That's what I have been advised by my consultant. Literally had mine back this morning and I'm in the same boat. Looking for some reassurance xx

Yes, ten natural losses all before 6 weeks. We tried progesterone and steroids, no joy. I have MTHFR and raised NK cells.

Due to age we went on to IVF with genetic testing. Likely cause is poor quality embryos (most die early and of the ones that survive to day 5/6 only 1/5 was genetically normal). 96% of poor embryos is down to egg quality and DP did well on the sperm DNA fragmentation test so for us the probable cause is my crappy eggs and my age (39 at time of collection). My suspicion is poor egg quality is linked to an undiagnosed autoimmune disease but no proof of that.

Things you can do to boost egg quality are set out in the book ‘It starts with an egg’.
