Dr Catherine Hayden - Leeds

Hi all,
I was previously under the care of Catherine Hayden from Leeds Fertility (now Care Fertility), Seacroft Rd. I discovered yesterday, while at an appointment there, that she had left. I hadn't been informed, I just noticed her photo had been taken down. Everyone was really cagey and wouldn't tell me where she had relocated to. I know it's a long shot but does anyone on here have any idea?

I had her for my op 2019, my cyst drainage and ultimately my transfer on my second ivf which has now result in my little girl due in October. Sad to know she has gone she was great and someone who knew her stuff and put you at ease! I bet it’s because of the take over I’ve heard things are crazy and chaotic at the moment the switch was just happening after our transfer

Thank you for your response and congratulations on your successful transfer and impending baby girl. Yes, I'm growing ever frustrated with Care now and husband and I are in talks of moving clinics. We are private so have
'the pick of the bunch' essentially but options are so limited in our area. I'm really sad to have lost Catherine. I'm told she has stayed within the NHS but I can't find what hospital she is working out of for love nor money. You're right, she was incredibly reassuring. I felt an affinity with her, especially has she has IVF children herself. She just 'got it'.
Hoping the bump of this post generates more interest.

Thank you, I had a lot of trouble communication wise and the rest even before the switch so can imagine it being even more frustrating right now I know of a few wanting to switch clinics since it’s gone downhill a lot. She was amazing they have lost an outstanding women at that clinic but wherever she has gone they are lucky to have her. You could always try the ivf support uk group on Facebook and see if any others know of her move? Good luck with your journey ❤️

Hey, I'm at care manchester and getting the same thing- I'm currently looking at ABC/create, which looks pretty good. Also, ABC have just updated their criteria (still doesn't apply to me) but if you're in the market they might be worth looking at.

I've had the same search as previously used Mrs Hayden who was amazing and wanted to use her again. Finally tracked her NHS practice in Leeds...01132063734. But the waiting list is long. Good luck.

Hi! And thank you for your reply! I am so happy for you that you managed to track her down but disappointed for me that it sounds as though she is NHS only now as unfortunately, I am private 😣 I may give them a call to confirm unless you happen to know if she is able to accept private, do you?
I'd love to be able to go back to her for treatment, she was so relatable.

I'm not too sure if she still does private but worth asking. The lady on the above number was very helpful (from the old Leeds Fertility) and could put you in touch with Mrs Hayden's secretary foe you to plead to see her.
Good luck and keep us posted as my treatment will need to be private once the initial tests are done... and Mrs Hayden is wonderful.

I just wanted to let you know that I called the number you gave me and unfortunately, Dr Hayden is working NHS only now. So disappointed!
Have you any idea who you might use if you require IVF? (I assume as you are at the testing stage you aren't at IVF yet). I'm still at Care Fertility Leeds and not only are they shoddy, their prices have just shot through the roof! From 1.5k to 2.5k for a FET (not including meds) 😳

I'm really sorry. I've had recommendations for Mrs Sharma (when she was at Leeds Fertility so not sure about her position with Care). And same for Mr Rutherford at Leeds Fertility.
A friend used Manchester Fertility about 6 years ago and really rated them but how they are now I have no idea.
I hope you find someone and somewhere positive...its stressful enough without battling a system too. Try not to let it get you down and keep faith. Good luck.
