16 eggs collected, 8 good, 4 inseminated

Had egg collect yesterday, these are my results, I thought 16 was good but knowing now only 8 we’re good eggs I’m not sure. And also why were only 4 inseminated,(icsi ) so what happens with the other 4? We are freezing all due to ohss risk, but why wouldn’t think inseminate all? Any advice from your own experiences would be amazing !

Did they do 4 ICSI 4 IVF? I've heard of them doing this before?
I'd ring the clinic and ask.
We were supposed to have ICSI but on the day sample was good so they did IVF.

Thanks for your response, yes I have since rang them, turns out they did icsi on the 8 but only 4 took :( really pretty low about results

4 fertilised is good- I had 20 eggs but only 3 made it to day 5 2 in the freezer and 1 on board- had a BFP but still too scared to get excited OTD is Monday.

My consultant told me they always try to get 1 to transfer and 1 to freeze x

Thanks for giving me some positivity! We are only day 1 though, so sure I will lose a few as days go by, trying to stay hopeful!!

I think it when well! All survived till day 3, all grade 1, one has been frozen already as a back up incase none make it till blastocyst, should be getting another call today or tomorrow, they were growing 1 cell too fast but I don't think it is too much of a problem
