FET with Create Fertility

I had a successful IVF/ICSI treatment with Create Fertility and baby is now 9 weeks. I know it’s still early days but just want to prepare myself and ask for some advice etc. from those who have had FET with them.

I had mild IVF with Bemfola, Cetrotide and hcg trigger (don’t remember the name) so want to know what medicine do you have with FET, for how long, which side effects did you have?
How often do you have scans etc. and what else should I be aware of?

Thank you in advance

Hi I'm not with Create but I've just had a FET last week. I started oestrogen tablets I think was day 2. I'm also on a steroid and aspirin daily. I took an antibiotic for 5 days at the start of this cycle. Went for scan about day 12 and then started progesterone pessaries and injections a couple of days later. So at the moment I'm still on oestrogen, steroid, aspirin, vitamins, folic acid, progesterone. Think that's it. No further scans. Waiting to test next week. I haven't had any side effects apart from bruising from the injections. Hopefully this will give you an idea

I recently did a FET with Create. There are two kinds of FET: medicated and unmedicated (with unmedicated only being suitable for those who ovulate and have regular periods). I did an unmedicated cycle, ended up going in for about 4 scans (I think 3 is usual) from day 8. I ovulated late so had to do a HCG trigger (which wouldn't be needed if it happened on time) and then had to take 3 x progesterone pessaries a day for a few weeks (until I got a negative beta blood test). Pessaries would continue for the first trimester if you are successful. I found them to be a bit sticky and unpleasant, but otherwise ok.

I believe that if you do a medicated cycle the timings are more reliable and there may be fewer scans. Oestrogen tablets from day 3, and if you're successful you'll need to take them throughout the first trimester. I don't know about side effects other than that the tablets can cause migraines if you're prone to them.
They tries to push me to the medicated option for my second cycle, but I pushed back. It's more convenient for them (with the more reliable timings) but didn't want to risk migraines.

Hope this is helpful.

One other thing - with unmedicated cycles you need to do ovulation tests (POAS) twice a day as they need to match the transfer date to ovulation. It was a bit of a worry that I might miss it (you start the pessaries after ovulation too).

I am Day 3 post FET with create. (My second time as first try was unsuccessful) I done a natural cycle which meant I waited for my cycle to begin and end and then took a ovulation test twice a day until I ovulated. I had a scan before I ovulated (around day 10 of my cycle) to check that I had a follicle dominating, which I did. Then I had another once I had a positive ovulation test to check the follicle had infact started to collapse and has ovulated.

from then you are advised from create (depending when you ovulate) as to when to start taking the vaginal tablets three times a day.
you will also then be advised when your transfer date will be for example:
I ovulated on Friday morning so Saturday morning was my day 0 and I started the vaginal tablets. And as I was have a day 5 FET I was due to have mine on the Thursday.

hope that helps! 😊
