Hello my lovelies.

I've currently been granted treatment for IVF, I'm with the Hewitt Centre in Liverpool.
I had a consultation when I was told the funding forms will be put through etc, and the Dr said there was no waiting list. I recieved my funding 2 weeks ago, and was wondering if anyone else who is in the same situation as me how long it may take from now on before the ball starts rolling.
Thanks x

I'm in Wales so it works different here and we never know about the funding forms, everyone who's eligible gets 2 rounds.
But I was referred in May 2021and had my first cycle in March 2022 there were appointments and tests in between and there was a massive backlog as they had been shut completely due to Covid. Now Covid is over i had my second cycle in July after March failed so it's pretty quick turnaround now. Hope this helps.
The first appointment were, bloods, swabs, and a further semen analysis. Hope that helps- hopefully you will hear very soon.
Good Luck on your journey x

I’m in London - I didn’t have to worry about funding form as I was automatically granted funding as I am doing IVF with PGD testing for a genetic issue @Lizzy191087

Hi I am also in the same position. Had my funding letter at the end of June for the Hewitt Centre. Just waiting for an initial appointment/the next step. Have you heard anymore?

Lizzy191087 · 27/07/2022 17:19

Sadly no update yet @L444 . I called on Friday to try and find out any more info, and the lady on the phone said it would be in the very near future. Not much of a help, but I've been running to the door everytime I see the postman 😂. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything. X

Yeh I am like that with the post too! There is a Hewitt Centre support group on fb which is good. Looks like people have been generally waiting between 6 weeks and 3/4 months for initial appointments.

@L444 bit of an update, I've just spoken to the Hewwit Centre, and they have been so clear and lovely saying there is a process they need to follow.
Basically:
There's a team that register you once funding is approved, once this team has done what they need to do, it then goes to another team who then check everything is in order, who then co tact you if something is missing or whatever, then the you need to wait for the results of these tests (if needed) to go through and all be OK. Once all that's done someone will call to make an appointment.

I know its a long winded update sorry, but just thought ot may put your mind at ease that you aren't forgotten about.

@L89 hope this may help you too. And thank you for the tip on the FB group I'll have a look!

Best of luck to you both! X

@Lizzy191087 thanks so much for the update!
On the fb group, it looks as though some people have had a phone call after around 6 weeks+ to arrange a blood test and others have had an appointment - must depend on personal circumstances.

Did they give you a time frame as to when your appointment may be then?
