Does sex help or hinder implantation?

So what the title says really. I've ready varying things about sex before and after transfer. One study showed sex night before transfer increased pregnancy rates. Some Drs say not to have sex after transfer for weeks and others say OK after a few days. Just wondering what everyone else thinks? I'm due FET tomorrow and our clinic advise only protected sex during cycle. Last transfers we had sex after transfer before testing and thinking should we abstain this time will it make a difference. Have also read sperm can help implantation something to do with exposure to semen helping and then have read contractions from sex can stop implantation. It's so confusing!!!!

My doc advised me to have sex a few days after FET. She says semen helps implantation. I followed her advice twice, but I must say it was quite uncomfortable for both of us. The third time we didn't have any. With or without sex, we were unsuccessful. I've read mixed opinions too. If we were to transfer again, I would perhaps do it before ET.

I've heard you shouldn't, in case uterine contractions prevent implantation, but seems there's no consensus.

Between all the hormones and my massively bruised stomach I am not feeling it at all.

Thanks for the replies. We didn't do it before transfer and haven't after. Our clinic says ok but you read so many conflicting views. I know what you mean about the bruised tummy, these progesterone injections are leaving me bruises everywhere

We did a few days before our transfer. One study suggested it would help. It was successful but not sure if that helped.
