Hi everyone, I am due to start my IVF treatment and as a first timer, I am nervous, excited yet scared off all the treatments/needles due to come!

I do not know of anyone who has been through IVF therefore I am feeling lost and would love to get opinions/advise on what to expect. Ideally from beginning to end of IVF procedure. From the moment I received the medication in the post till the very last stage (which I am unsure off). I have been to a teach appointment however that all went in one ear and out the other as there was ALOT of new information to take in within 3 hours of my appointment! I have the booklet and URL links to watch but I’d feel more at ease if I can speak with someone who has gone or is going through similar IVF treatment as myself.

My medication consists of Bemfole/Centrotide/Gonasi/Progesterone

Thank you so much for taking your time and effort in reading/commenting on this post, much appreciated!!

I hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread! Any advice/guidance is greatly appreciated

I'm 30 and have a daughter (7) conceived naturally

I have been diagnosed with PCOS and have a high follicle count

The fertility clinic (CRGW) have recommended IUI or IVF Lite but I am unsure what to go with. The success rates with IUI worry me and although IVF has a greater expense, is it worth going for this first as last to save "wasting" money?

Any experiences/advice on the success rates for first time IVF with PCOS please?

I'm mid way through my first ivf stims, short protocol. I'm on menopur and cetrotide. I was really worried about the needles but honestly you can hardly feel them.

The menopur needle is so think and short and the cetrotide is a bit bigger but once you break the skin you cant feel it either.

Tops for injecting - ice for a few mins, clean with the wipe, inject, more ice, wipe again and apply pressure & rub. You will hardly feel it and should have minimal brusing.

Good luck!

.... also I forgot how to do all the injections, but I read the leaflet and Googled it. There are loads of great vids on youtube. 🙂

@Bellwells @GrapefruitGin Hey both, how are you feeling, all okay? How’s the treatment been ?

i have just started my treatment , on day 1. Just wanted to ask did any one have any symptoms to the medication. The nurse advised me to keep hydrated.

I am ok taking the injections but took a while as I wanted to make sure i was doing it right aha

Hi, sorry for the absence, I’ve had two abandoned cycles so far and haven’t made it as far as egg collection unfortunately. Hope all went well @Tofusmum
