Advice for initial blood tests please

Hi. My GP has referred me for initial investigations including bloods and an ultrasound. I'm just a bit confused about timing of the blood tests and hoping someone can help! GP says I need to have one 7 days before my period is due, but my cycles are between 25 and 28 days and I believe I ovulate early, around cd10. The second test she said needs to be "within 7 days" of my period but I'm not sure exactly what this means...is this any time in the 7 days after I start bleeding? My periods usually last about 4 days.

@Magix86 lots of women undergoing Fertility treatment have irregular periods- do you track your periods on an app? If so use your predicted AF due date from this for your 7 days before. And then yes within 7 days of you starting bleeding.

I don't use an app no, but will look at starting one maybe. I've always just known to expect it between these days! Someone else has advised I go 7 days after I ovulate so I'm going to try and focus on that - I use OPK's but don't get a lot of ovulation symptoms

Hi, I have got a telephone appointment with my GP in a few weeks and hoping I get referred for tests. Did your GP give you any info regarding a timeline of what to expect other than bloods and an ultrasound?

Unfortunately not. They just said to get the initial tests done and to go from there depending on what the results are. Sorry to not be more help! Good luck with your appointment, hopefully they can tell you a bit more of what to expect 🤞🏻
