Dr Ramsay appointment tomorrow!! Mfi

Hi all,

We are going to see Dr Ramsay tomorrow re mfi... my partner has really low sperm count and motility and recent blood tests have shown FSH..

Does anyone have any tips, words of encouragement or questions we should ask please?!

Feel a little nervous but hoping to get some answers so we can at least make informed decisions.

DP and I have recently seen Mr Ramsay. He was lovely. He'll just ask lots of questions about tests etc you've had until now. He examined DP and sent him for further bloods to check genetics and a more in-depth semen analysis. He was very reassuring and gave us some tips on the process going forwards and how to manage my appointments with gynae/fertility clinic. If it wasn't for him my local hospital wouldn't have referred us to guys hospital for IVF. What he told me meant I could argue and fight for a referral.
I tried thinking of questions to ask him before we went but he was very thorough and explained everything so didn't need to ask anything additional.

I feel so lost with it all, so hoping to get some answers! I've got to lose about 3 stone to be even able to be referred for IVF through the NHS if that's our route. The pressure just gets on top of me then to lose weight and then I can't seem to do it, ahh!

@HayMay I know how you feel with the losing weight. My BMI hovers around 30 so trying to lose some so I'm definitely under when it comes to funding. But I'm a bit of an emotional eater which is not helpful with all the emotions and up/downs since TTC.
