Does anyone have experience getting fertility treatment when they have Crohn’s disease? I have mild CD for a few years and am convinced it’s impacted ttc but my gastro doctor says it shouldn’t. I don’t understand how we’re told that diet is important for egg quality yet having a disease that impacts getting nutrition wouldn’t have an impact.
my ivf clinic did give me steroids which are actually used to treat cd and intralipid as also had slightly high nk cells but my first fet has failed. 4 days after the fet I started getting what I think was a flare - constipation, sore joints, itchy skin, then diarrhoea. I feel a lot better now and feel it’s kind of a coincidence that I had a flare (which I haven’t had for at least 6- 12 months) right after fet- like my immune system is reacting to it. Or I’m just driving myself insane!
does anyone know a doctor with decent experience in Crohn’s and fertility? I’ve read about Dr shehata but it’s so expensive and feel I’ve actually already some of the tests he does!
