Anyone else currently doing stims for egg collection? Feeling pretty shattered.

I started stims last Friday. My ovaries started to feel uncomfortable after 3 days of stimming, I have my first progress scan tomorrow so I’ll see what’s going on.

How are you getting on?

My first day was last Tuesday. I’m not sure I’m injecting very well, I lose a bit of the liquid, and my scan yesterday they said they were rather slow growing. I’m very emotional and a bit uncomfortable but otherwise ok xx

Is this your first cycle IVF? I ask because my first cycle was similar to yours, it started off very slow, I took stims for a long time and I ended up getting OHSS. They have increased my dosage this time so hoping I wouldn’t be stimming for too long but I’ll find out tomorrow how I’m getting on. I also agree with you about being uncomfortable, my ovaries feel inflamed I think I have endo although it’s never been diagnosed.

I started my stims for my first cycle last night - was very nervous and scared but it seemed to go relatively well. My husband is injecting for me so that massively helped me.

I’m just feeling very nervous and worried about not knowing if we are injecting correctly (even though we’re following the videos and advice) and overall just feeling uneducated about the do’s and don’t’s for this period. So much of the info online is contradictory and my clinic didn’t really explain this besides just lead a balanced life! Xx

Yes all is good at the moment, my second IVF cycle but this will be my third transfer. I previously had two failed FETs. My first cycle wasn’t the best my dosage was too low and I ended up having to use stims for a long time and ended up work OHSS. I really hope this is my “third time lucky” transfer.

I am finding this time around a bit tough. I have a high AFC and I’ve been stimming for 7 days now and feel uncomfortable already but my last scan I only had 4 follicles over 10mm. My advice is try and take each day as it comes and also try not to read too much on internet because no cycle is the same, just take each day as it comes and think positive thoughts.
