Anyone tried FET at 47-48?

I know there are a few folks here trying who are over 40, but at 47+ sounds like not so many.

I am doing donor egg FET. Does anyone have experience with IVF at the same age at all?

It’s my first 5d transfer so I am trying to stay hopeful. It would be great to hear if anyone else is in the same boat?

Hi @Tryingat47 I just wanted to respond and offer support. I'm not in the same situation but didn't want to leave you alone.

There are groups for people planning or with donor conceived children. Are you already aware of them? There may well be people on there who can support you.

I know one person who is currently pregnant at I think 47/48 with donor eggs.

@Tryingat47 sorry no not Mumsnet groups. There's a real life group. My other friend who has a donor conceived child is part of it. The woman I "know" is on my clinic FB site but my friends sister is currently waiting for a donor. She's 44.

@Janefx40 good luck to your sister’s friend!!!! The wait for the donor egg can be excruciating. I waited for mine for 5 months but they say it can be much longer.

I’ve my pregnancy blood test 2m as well @Tryingat47 egg donor too! I’m feeling quite negative and low as I’ve had no symptoms whatsoever, not even a leaking from the lovely vaginal pressies! Really hope you and I get our precious POSITIVES! 🙏

Yes I did. A 5 day blastocyst. We only had one embryo and by some miracle, it worked 🦋

I didn’t have any symptoms. I was convinced it hasn’t worked. DH and I nearly keeled over when the test said positive. All the very best for your test tomorrow.

A little update, the nurse just called and it’s POSITIVE!!! Everything feels quite unreal! Thanks so much everyone for the messages of support! They really helped me pull through the long 2WW!!!😘
