Clinic recommendations for Unexplained Infertility for 42+ women

We are looking for an IVF clinic who are good for older women in London/Surrey and surrounding areas. We have Unexplained Infertility.

Our first two IVF cycles failed. I have good AMH level (22). I responded well to the meds. I had fertility acupuncture. Following the fertilisation, all goes downhill as embryo qualities are not good at all.

(protocols were same for both cycles)
First cycle- 9 eggs, 6 fertilized, 2 poor quality blastocysts, day 5 transfer, and chemical
Second cycle- 12 eggs, 9 fertilized, 2 poor quality blastocysts, day 5 transfer and BFN

This would be our final round of IVF, so I do not want to leave any stone unturned. Clinic recommendations would be appreciated, as well as any tips on what else we can do to improve our chances.

Have you considered the natural modified approach as the issue is perhaps most likely to be egg quality related to age even if your amh is ok? Instead of trying to produce as many eggs as possible with poorer quality try and focus on fewer eggs but better quality? Having a high number of eggs unfortunately doesn’t mean those eggs are viable due to the decrease in quality as we get older, even if amh is good (such fun being women…). I think Create specialise in this. In London I’ve heard CRGH are good for older women too, they look at genetic abnormalities that more likely to be an issue in older eggs. There is a 40+ thread on here that you could also ask on too. Best of luck with it!

Thanks a lot for your reply, @BlueSilver23 , really appreciate it. I am open to anything and everything that might give result. I just feel that I need to do something different this time, otherwise I will regret it later. I will post on the 40+ thread, thanks.

I’m 40 and very similar to you in terms of amh, egg numbers and blastocysts outcome. I am at the Evewell and they def managed to improve my results from a dismal round 1 by adding HGH, steroids, and a change of protocol plus other supplements I added (incl melatonin and dhea) and icsi. We are also pgta testing our blast. My first round gave us one abnormal
and our second round yielded one normal and one low mosaic that can be transferred. The embryologist said there was a real step up on the blasts development in round 2, so a definite improvement. Just got two more from round 3 same grades as in round 2 and waiting on the genetic test results now. It’s not a cheap clinic but is tailored to us and the progress speaks for itself.

Weirdly, our numbers are very similar! AMH 20.7.
Round 1, 8 eggs, 6 fert, 1 blast.
Round 2, 12 eggs, 4 fert, 2 blast.
Round 3, 13 eggs, 8 fert, 2 blasts.

There is uncanny similarities, @Phrenologistsfinger ! Thanks for sharing your experience at Evewell. I have been hearing the name on different threads but did not find any data on HFEA, so was a bit cautious. It's good to hear some first hand positive experience. Which doctor are you seeing? You can pm me if you don't want to reveal the name here. Thanks a lot!
