IVF aboard

Hi , I have had a positive cycle aboard , but I need to continue with medication and injections for the first three months, as I am returning to uk after the pregnancy test, can anyone advise me on my return to uk , do I contact my GP or a private fertility clinic to get the medication to continue with the treatment. Thanks

My gp prescribed my ongoing medication once pregnant. They just needed a letter from the consultant specifying what I needed. I did get a private prescription for my progesterone injections though as my gp did not agree they were required

My clinic in Spain prescribe enough medication to take until the end of the first trimester, it can either be bought there or delivered within the UK.

Blood HCG and progesterone tests are organised privately, as are early ultrasound tests, then you follow the booking in process for your local area whether that is via GP or midwife or whatever. In my area you don't contact the GP and mine wouldn't prescribe any of the medication for my IVF.

My private prescription was from the fertility clinic and then I bought the medication here. The rest was on nhs prescription from the gp so saved me some money
