Hi - I just wondered if anybody knew the numbers on what is considered MFI? In terms of number for sperm count etc.

Also - are there any success stories of conceiving naturally when struggling with MFI?

I think numbers-wise a sperm count of under 15 million and morphology under 4% is considered an issue. However, keep in mind that most sperm counts are far over 15 million - and at the same time while 4% morphology sounds low it's actually quite normal so don't be shocked by that percentage!

We had low morphology, mobility AND count fluctuating between 1-2 million (but one sample with 7 million!). Unexplained, and zero negative lifestyle factors. A number of doctors told us we could never (!) conceive naturally and would need IVF ICSI for any chance at all.

Somehow conceived naturally after about a year. But was it a miracle, or does this just show how much of a mystery MFI still is? (Both?)
