2nd transfer fail - what can I do for next one?

I've taken a hpt test this morning on 11dp5dt and looks like my second transfer has failed. We have one embryo frozen. Is there anything we should be looking at before we try to transfer it to help implantation? Are there any different drugs we can try, it was a fresh transfer, and I was just on crinone gel. Or is there anything we should be asking our Dr? This is our second cycle and would try anything to get this one to stick. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You could ask for the kitchen sink approach - progesterone suppositories, prednisolone etc
What grade were your embryos? In my experience even 2 failed transfers won't necessarily prompt a clinic to change their protocol too much unless they were top grade AA blastocysts

Thank you I will bring that medication up with the clinic. The last one was 4bb and I think the first one was something similar it was BB but it was transferred on day 6 instead of 5. I don't respond particularly well to the stims so only got 2 eggs 1st time and 2 last cycle. I would like them to try something new as if I go through another full cycle only likely to get a few eggs again. It doesn't leave much room for trial and error. We've had to pay for private cycles too, so that's just more stress thinking how we will find another cycle

I had two failed transfers with BBs - I'm surprised about the day 6 transfer though - they should really be day 5s?

Sorry yours have failed too. Were they fresh or frozen transfers? Have you any left in storage or will you have to go again? We changed Dr for second cycle and she said she wouldn't have done the transfer day 6 she would have frozen and done next cycle so not sure if that contributed to failure?

Have your progesterone levels been tested (blood test)? Not saying there is an issue, just that it's an easily remedied thing compared to other factors.

It's crap but also IVF can be a numbers game, there's maybe not anything that you or the clinic could have done differently to affect this outcome this time. 💐

If your next transfer is frozen make sure the clinic are very happy with your lining before transfer, even if it means a bit of a delay.

They didn't do any bloods before transfer I had asked and the nurse said they don't check them as they don't really matter as long as they could see a triple lining or something. They didn't scan me before it either, the last scan I had was prior to collection. They also said they don't prescribe oestrogen anymore, although I was on it for first transfer. Thanks for the advise re frozen transfer

I had twins on my 4th transfer - with a frozen day 3 which was thawed and cultured to day 5 and a frozen day 6 - both put back on day 5

Yes doing a day 6 transfer could definitely have contributed to the failure

That's amazing having twins. I have read some articles that say frozen can be better
