IVF with trauma educated doctor/clinic

Hi,

Can someone recommend a clinic with staff who is educated about medical and sexual trauma? Somewhere where they can be flexible with procedures and most importantly understanding and caring.
Can be anywhere in the UK (or abroad if really excellent and does shared motherhood/ropa).

I have medical and sexual trauma and so far the answers given to my concerns are "your partner will hold your hand, you just have to get through it".

We are based in Sweden, travelling to the UK and going for the ropa/shared motherhood treatment in case it is relevant.

Thanks a lot

Hi not the same thing but I have medical anxiety and was in tears at the thought of my first internal scan (after a previous bad experience) but my consultant was very reassuring & I have found all the staff to be caring & compassionate. I’m with Create Birmingham.

My circumstances were a bit different (IVF after a second trimester loss and traumatic delivery) but I found Glasgow Royal's Fertility Clinic were sensitive and the people carrying out procedures seemed quite informed about trauma.
